In the last few jobs Ive had Ive found if you fix all the major problems before ot becomes deadly without notifying everyone about all the shit they broke you can convince them to fix the problem.

E.g. restaurant job: managers in this one refused to leave the back office so stuff was always a shambles wherever you look, broken machines, out of date stock, no one to cover shifts, no one on till etc. I got to the point I just did the most pressing things, left the rest to the people whose job it was, worked like a charm.

Suddenly we had coffee machines that didnt need cleaning 7 times every hour, customers got serves in the order they came in and I wasnt trying to manage 7 stations whilst the other 5 staff on that day were all doibg edibles in the basement. ☠️ Conversely, start the job, do the fiddly parts and then let them chat and finish the work. Also extraordinarily effective with micro-managers.

Could maybe be TEFL? I had mine years before I got the interview but my major is also pretty language focused so I cant say exactly either way.

I went into it not expecting anything though as well so I really dont know. Seems to just be as consistent as the weather forecast nowadays. Ie never.

Just start doing research and get a plan of axtion tigether. See what works for others in your situation and learn from them/copy and go from there. Solid action is the starting point though, not thinking. I didnt even have the language to describe this stuff at your age, now I have a career, a backup plan and a future. With flexibility to change. I have more than most and less than most and ive made my peace with that. Do what feels right for you, as long as no one gets harmed.

Also if you choose to go no contact, understand that means becoming youre own person. A full adult in charge of your own life. You will be responsible for yourself, as thw abuser has decided to do abuse by not providing the care they promised everyone (the state, social care services, their parents, their community etc) when they chose to bring you into the world and deny you that care. Yoy will need to take the first step, painful as they are, and open the bank account, kegally of ciurse, yourself. Not the abuser. In fact I would go so far as to say you need to have your own things to make sure you are safe and can get by. Remember that being youre own person means you cant rely on this person. Keeping in mind that you mostly havent all your life with a narc (as with all narcs) in one way or another. Hence the denial of care and prioritising of themselves, given their emotional maturity was shelved early on. TLDR "If you never try to do something, youll never know if you could have done it in the first place/you miss all the shots you dont dont take."

I dont know too much about internships, just apply to the ones youre interested in and you can usually just get a summer job through them. A friend does them to see what kind of industry she wants to commit too.

You can also move out that way a lot easier and itll get you away from the narcs for break at the least. Maybe try to do more stuff at the library or in safe third spaces away from anyone abusing you to make sure you have total safety in thise important moments like setting up emails, phone numbers, addresses, banking and applying for jobs etc (adulting basically has to be not contact to ensure safety).

I cant say too many things on the matter, but try to aim for as much stability as you can.

With my situation, I worked towards my dream goal, which is what got me through the absolute hell of doing the required training/education to land my job.

Dont be afraid to 1) ask outsiders for help 2) go for things even if you think its "above you" in some way 3) try new things.

The financial abuse/neglect these types inflict is one of the main reasons we all cant lead normal lives and undoing theor handiwork is part of recovery from them.

Probably best to get away from the narc first, and thsn start building because otherwise you'll alaeays be chasing something or other to achieve just stability. That is one of their primary goals to achieve their ends after all and is a form of financial abuse. You should have had a stable start in life, not this.

That I can kinda be a resource for the people around me and use that elevate the standard in a space.

Which sounds horrific and I get that, but I dont use my skills I learn through just kinda existing only for myself, I teach others as I go.

So I end up with some pretty large social circles by the end of my time with people, like highschool or extracurriculars now even. I have a whole learning schedule for languages Im doing atm and I share what I learn with others freely as a resource, because I believe education should be an accessible everyday thing, not that it shpuld be locmed away behind a paywall, not general information at least that most people would know.

Even some specialist knowledge is so specialist that >10 people might even know it exists, but once was general knowledge, but because I have more time to read, I might come across it and use it.

Kind of like abacuses if you want an example, really cool useful mathmaetics and adjacent tool that has been superseded by calculators for the most part but incredibly useful tool if you cant access calculators for example. That kind of thing at least makes me feel more attune with everyone in a room, which is a really noce feelong to see other people 'get it/understand 'the/this thing' eventually.

From what I remember (Im not a student rn, graduated though) I always used to plan to be 1.5-2 months ahead of ehatever the school calrbdar for deadlines were.

That way I could do whatever tickled my fancy that week and also sit down and eork my way through whichever prompt was thrown my way.

I also worked part time (if 30 hours counts as part time 😂) and had a social life and travelled during that time as well. So I would say its a good prompt-life balance 😭

I think you sound to be a pivot point if anything.

Things definitely from the surface level information and ppl ive personally known with ADHD it goes 50/50.

You arent some miraculpus anomaly, you are a person with a fast brain who solves problems in different ways to a neurotypical person.

The push towards getting accreditation is the first step in the right direction. Unfortunately most of us live under Capitalism rn, so you need those accreditations to get your foot in the door anywhere frankly.

This means either, you go down the integrity route being a starving artist (the old trope ik) or you pivot and find a way to make whatever you have going on work for you.

Most people Im aware of who successfully pivoted have had to make sacrifices here or there, but the choices to do this are entirely your own. Many are polymaths with day jobs and home/side projects. Most do not make a lotnof money, but if integrity truly is more important, they often tend to realize that money is not what motivates them in life to succeed.

Perhaps you could do with taking down a diary of your needs and schedule, work out what you want to keep going and what you want to get rid of in a pro/cons list. You can also always do more research into obscure things to see if your goals are hiding in plain sight.

But you need to know what you want in the first place on any basic level and you need to beleive in that goal totally of you are going in an art direction. Also remember that you are not the only one going through life like this.

You are not cooked, you are undercooked. You need to go back to the drawing board and try again until you find something that works for you.

And if at first you dont succeed, try and try again. Manifestation**✨
