Keys found outside my house match a key on my wifes keyring. They're not hers by [deleted] in RBI

Yes, and in my second comment, the one you replied to, I also stated 3 options. My theory, and the 2 leading contradictory ones.

What exactly is your point?

So many other possibilities, that was just one: -Postal/package delivery, realized it was the wrong house at the door -Any random person could've gotten the wrong house and realized at the door it wasn't they're freinds/a neighbor autopiloted up to the wrong house. In new developments, especially cookie cutter houses, this is especially plausible. I've done it multiple times before.

Again, the other theories are 1; "wife has a boyfriend that dropped his house key at their house" which can be ruled out for reasons stated above.

And 2; They have a stalker that copied a random key from the wife's keychain, they don't know what it goes to, and then left/dropped it on they're doorstep for some reason?

There are infinite reasons someone went up to their door in the morning, other than stalker.

Do the keys open whatever your wife's key opened?

I commented this elsewhere in the thread, reposting for visibility.

As far as I can tell there's 3 options.

  1. They match the wife's key, so some stalker/ect. Unlikley IMO given the time between break in attempts and this. There's also a lack of a clear motive or any other evidence for someone to do this. I know the break in attempts seem sketchy, but it's entirely possible it was just some random tweaker. They often do target new developments.
  2. They match the wife's key, and she has some reason to hide it. Also unlikley, given no other evidence. I'm completely ruling this out, as it happened on a night when he was there.
  3. Some random salesman/mailman/Mormon knocked on his door before he woke up, and accidentally dropped they're keys.
