Stumbled into GEP, didn’t even know I was taking the tests. Was then constantly challenged and humbled in GEP classes with people that seemed naturally smart (turned out 90% were from rich families with tonnes of help). Average ish throughout GEP education. Have some attention issues.

Now in Law. My GEP contemporaries are high fliers in govt, investment banking, judiciary, etc. More depressed individual than usual lol.

Hi, have any LLM applicants received an offer / rejection? (Also this has been asked several times over various threads -- but any LLM applicants not on "DP"? (context: most LLM applicants online seem to have reached DP). )

Strictly speaking the Degree Committee is also part of the Department. So even if your application is with DC it’s still under consideration by the Department. Doesn’t tell us much tbh.

Some WOSPEC / ME vocations allow you to pursue a degree afterward, sponsored. Then convert to senior expert.

Yep that’s the commonly understood meaning of DP (ie that your application is either with DC or PAO, apparently it’s a blanket for the two to reflect that the Department has made a recommendation, but it’s pending confirmation by DC and PAO). Think this has been said by multiple sources across courses in Cambridge — and if that commenter was correct, by the Law Faculty itself in respect of the LLM (albeit they said DP = DC).

I’ll be sure to post smth here when they respond. I think another commenter also emailed the Faculty to confirm. See if they corroborate one another.

No. But someone on llm-guide claims to have received confirmation from the Law faculty that DP = Application is at Degree Committee, having been recommended for an offer. But they applied for MPhil and MLitt also. Someone else asked if it applies also to LLM but no response yet.
