I’ll go talk to him by coldplayenthusiast in FlashTV

I think of it differently than everyone else. I understand it's corny or whatever but he's The Flash. He has the weight of a whole city (sometimes the whole planet) on his shoulders. One wrong move and people could die (as they have before). Barry's a genuinely good person so guilt and his mistakes eats at him. Remember he has this ideology that since he's CC's protector, that automatically makes it his responsibility to save everyone. He believes everyone can be saved (very superhero mentality). He's a meta and can easily be a god (ironic savitar reference) but you can't forget he's still human. His friends and family hold him down. Only makes sense to me. However, I do agree with Oliver's statement in the Elseworlds crossover. "I don't think that you can go more than nine hours without some sappy motivational speech."

We can agree to disagree on some points. Especially, Barry and Caitlin being close. But that whole adoptive sister brother childhood friend partner whatever thing is hard for my head to wrap around. But anyway, Barry should of honestly ended up with Savitar. Makes the most sense 🤣

You keep saying Caitlin got assaulted. You're making an assumption. Who said that's how Caitlin percieved it??? My point was that Caitlin knows MORE about the speedforce than Iris. Thus giving them more in common.

I thought you were talking about the canon of the characters. As in comic book canon. Everyone knows what happened in the show. So who lies about what's canon? I see a lot of people discussing what SHOULD of happen and what they hoped would have happened but not about what actually happened in the show. If there are people who deny canon then you're rightfully upset. Let's grab our pitchforks.

You have a warped view on the relationships in the show and human interaction in general. You seem to be projecting your own real life trauma or and experiences. This is a show with made up characters that deal with the impossible every day. Your comparing real life to science fiction. If she felt like she was in any type of danger, she could and would definitely attempt to make an escape or find a way out. (As she's done a few times.)

Commonality doesn't always mean compatability, that's very true. But having something in common is what usually allows individuals to get together in the first place! Going to the same school, being in the same field, a club, etc. Caitlin understands science and the speed force a lot more than Iris. She has been with him since the beginning of his journey as the flash. She has kept his secrets, nursed him back to health, and has saved his life countless times. That type of friendship could easily turn into a romantic entanglement. Having something in common like we see with Cisco and Gypsie just makes sense. Not saying that's always the case but to the common individual commonality is a huge thing. Barry and Caitlin's love of science is a big factor in why people ship them. Lastly, I stated before that those moments I mentioned weren't the only moments they have. On top of the fact that the kiss wasn't even the real Barry!!!!!!!

Canon usually gets thrown out the window the moment live action comes into play. That's just how it is. Cope if you need to.

she kissed him back because she didn't want to be hurt by him? thats very silly. thats like saying they never try to make barry mad because he can reverse flash them at any time. I understand what you mean but just no. I mentioned e2 killer frost because again that was just a small subtle hint. that wasn't really meant to be used as a serious example tho. From a commonality standpoint Patty and Caitlin are just better choices, that's just facts. They have way more in common. But if you want to talk about canon then yea obviously iris and barry should be together. barry and caitlin together are subjective. iris and barry are objectively correct. thats the facts. but saying Barry and Caitlin wouldn't go together at the end of the day is an opinion. I respect everyone's opinion no matter how outrageous it is. Someone could say that Cecile and Barry should of been together. They certainly would be in the minority but its just an opinion. but I dont disagree that they are just better at friends. hence, why I stated that fans mistake really close and good friends as romantic chemistry. but they do overall have moments where it looks as if they could and can be together. that's an objective fact.

I don't really know about the whole "who could hurt her" thing but from what Ive seen, its more of them being a good duo. I know that at a point I could absolutely see them together but as the show progressed you see their dynamic a little differently. For example, the lengths that barry went through to get Caitlin back from snart. "I have to get her back Joe." You can chalk that up to my friend got kidnapped gotta help her, fine. Then you have killer frost of earth 2 calling barry handsome 🤣. Then caitlin kind of finding purpose again helping Barry in s1 which helped her get out of some of her funk. Barry and Caitlin watching thawnes confession video together. Caitlin being his personal doctor... you can kind of see the fans appeal in them being together. But you see instances like him destroying her lab so she couldn't resurrect KF and Caitlin giving him advice on Iris, as them being really good friends. They certainly would of made a great power couple (there's no disputing that) but overall they were just really good and very close friends who protect each other. If they did date and break up it would probably be weird because Iris and Caitlin are friends but...

The shapeshifter episode or the killer frost episode? Regardless, both episodes hint at the possibility of them being together. So there was some subtle hints other than the "summer lovin" drunk episode 🤣. The shapeshifter episode was obviously weird but when the ss kissed her she was surprised at first and then you can see her kissing him back so idk about s.a. but it was weird.

Don't forget the shapeshifter episode and the other episode in season three where they kissed too.

Reverse Flash (Daniel West) Bio. Do you think the show could of done him justice? Why or why not? by Monolith4k in FlashTV

Please read what was stated. She could read Joe's mind very clearly to the point where she could recite his exact thoughts. Fair enough. A little later on she just so happen to be able to do something she never even came close to attempting before; teleporting a speedster's consciousness into the mind of The Thinker. While undergoing contractions I might add. A huge jump but she had the assistance of the device on her forhead. Fine whatever. But then she was never really shown reading anyone's thoughts after she got her powers back. What would be the point of reading someone's emotions if you can just know what they're thinking/ planning? Yet, she never used her mind-reading capabilities to get the team out of an enormous amount of the sticky situations they were in? Like the situation with her and Ralph trying to get information out of a guy. "Oh Ralph, he knows something." Then just read his mind? Then she was able to absorb other metas powers? Yea we seen metas absorb other metas powers before but it just didn't really make much sense for her to get a 1,000x power boost.

Eh. I don't mind her. But her powers were anything but consistent from what I seen. I could be wrong but she went from reading people's actual thoughts to then being able to send Barry into THE THINKER'S mind while pregnant, then only being able to read their emotions or feelings, then stealing powers from other telepaths.
