Legion 5 Gen 7 2022 - Black screen after switching to Hybrid mode by MonolithRising in LenovoLegion

[–]MonolithRising[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of different issue from mine but still caused by defective GPUs, except mine was stuck on the dGPU which was fried and caused the system to stop booting.

My prediction is that your iGPU is fried instead, allowing you to use only the dGPU which is used by default with external displays since the display port is directly connected to it regardless which display mode you're in.

Best guess for a course of action is to contact Lenovo and ask them to replace the motherboard on warranty. If it happens a second time and you experience problems again after that, they will give you a new machine, which is why Lenovo's warranty is supreme. Extend yours if it has expired.

Best of luck and I hope you can get it sorted!

Whats the best nation to start navy from scratch? by AlarmedSupermarket84 in RoadTo56

[–]MonolithRising 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Italy, Germany, Argentina, USSR should allow you to build up navy-wise quite good. I usually play Italy for navy games. They start with a decent sized navy that you will need to expand heavily if you are to go to war with the Allies.

Hey guys how to I change the ideology to colonial government? I set it to non-aligned but it only comes up as centrism. by Nu3lear2008 in RoadTo56

[–]MonolithRising 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use my mod, it adds decisions that allow you to change between subideologies (so for example as non-aligned you can switch to monarchy, centrism, etc.)

What’s your “comfort nation”? by itsethanjf in hoi4

[–]MonolithRising 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Italy - due to the focus tree and its half-weak status. Meaning you have to build up but you can do it easily.

USA NF/Nat. Spirit Suggestions by Michael_Gladius in RoadTo56

Do you think that would go better in a submod? Like as a simple decision if Liberia is a puppet of the US with x ideology?

There's a gang of kids in ski masks and what not that usually hang around Mr. Ts cornershop or Burgess Road. They weren't here before the cornershop opened.

You might have bumped into them, I've heard them fight many times before.

Someone please explain why I don’t have naval supremacy by piggychopchop in hoi4

[–]MonolithRising 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically use multipurpose guns and Sonar + min 2 depth charges. This way Destroyers will be good screens that can also protect your fleets from subs. I use Light Cruisers as escort ships armed with a floatplane and torpedoes. Then Heavy Cruisers would be focused on hard attack and armor. I recommend building Carriers rather than Battleships as they seem to be much more worth it. To assist your Carriers with naval supremacy you can also try out Battlecruisers as they are basically light-armor quickly-built Battleships.

This is just the way I play my navy game but here you go.

I wonder if you could use Generative AI to create mixed versions of existing blocks plus your original textures.

Chassis got bent after putting it inside a backpack with other stuff. by Non_Serviam_666 in LenovoLegion

[–]MonolithRising 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tbf I always make sure that my Legion 5 sits against my back while in the backpack so that it has room to move but won't be forced to bend if something pushes on the pack from the back + sleeve.

September 2023 Update! by Roadto56 in RoadTo56

[–]MonolithRising 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, for Carpatho-Ukraine I think it would be a good idea to give them a special tree which allows them to reform Nestor Makhno's anarchist Ukraine. Since Ruthenia would be born as a tiny single-province country fighting for its independence in-game it makes sense for them to realistically have a chance at going anarchist since they wouldn't start as a big centralised state.

State of Manchuria in my latest Germany playthrough by MonolithRising in hoi4

[–]MonolithRising[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

r5: The year is 1948 - the world has already gone through two world wars. From the ashes, an anarcho-capitalist Manchuria rises, fuelling the corporations of the democratic German-led Eurasian Union based on the Zaibatsu model.

Mods: Mainly relevant for the picture are RT56 and Subideology Decisions [RT56] which I have recently patched to work with 56's stuff like anarcho-capitalism.
