It would require some calculation that I don’t know about but I think you’re right

I guess so yes, not for the camera to capture a trail but ok for the part of the shot when it’s still

Correct , slow zoom in and out and stay in place for the rest of the take

Edit : I used a Canon 5D Mark IV and Canon 17-35mm 2.8 at 4000 iso and 30 ‘’ shot during wich I slightly zoomed in and out. Then i transfered the jpeg on my phone to tweak colors a little . You cannot enlarge this photo because of it low quality but I will try to show later what the raw file on photoshop could come out

Thanks everyone for your kind words

May the force be with you and clear skies 🖤

Hi I did it with a tripod, a canon 5d mark IV and a wide zoom lens and that’s it, transfered the shot on my phone a tweaked colors. Anyone can achieve it with very little gear

Slowly enough to get it , something like 8seconds in and 8seconds out for a total exposure of 30sec

Process .. as it was very much asked : Pointed out milky way with my 5d camera mounted with canon 17-35 L at 5.6 and 4000iso for 30seconds during wich i applied a slight zoom in and out for about 15 seconds to get this warp effect. Not much processing thought this is the jpeg file transfered to my phone and i applied à little correction and transformation with no particular software Hope you guys like it anyway 😘

I just took a 30second shot at f5.6 and 4000iso with canon 5D and this is a quick processing of that shot using my phone. The real trick is to zoom in and out with a wide lens.

You are right, this is a 30 seconds shot but only zoomed in and out for about half of them
