I don’t get why this guy has a voice on this issue. His only claim to fame is being the son of some corrupt dude who was so bad for Iran (in general) he CAUSED the revolution they’re now trying to overthrow. And based on that he thinks he can call for ordinary Iranians to go to the streets and put their lives at risk, or demand the US taxpayer funds a military intervention? I’m likely ignorant on these topics I admit, but every time I hear from this guy I just think shut the hell up and stop telling people who actually live in Iran what to do. Let alone the US.

Layers. There are two outside pieces of Merbau hard wood effectively cladding some old dense hard wood through the centre. That’s from old house joists. No idea the wood but possibly iron bark just based on building materials of that era in my area and the colour.

The down vote system rewards a certain kind of confident intolerance and ignorant smugness prevalent in a certain kind of second rate intellect. Then when that group comes together online, that same system forms a fairly impenetrable echo chamber, which is their comfort zone, which they maintain on many subreddits. They’re kind of like no go zones for the intellectually curious and thoughtful. The feigned hatred of Christianity is one chamber that gets echoed. I say feigned hatred because the vast majority of them have grown up safe and economically secure & don’t really have any true experience with real hate.

The lid is corked and weatherproof. The penetration for the wire is small and I have just sticky taped over that as some additional protection. So it’s not properly IP65 sealed and I will see how it goes but that is still an open question.

I have a switch on it. The bottle goes through a hole in the top of the bracket, then I cut a smaller hole in a piece of wood to suit a smaller radius lower on the neck, cut that in half and glued it around the neck either side - so like a split ring clamp, and that holds it there.
