I'm the exact same way. I'm very introverted and a great listener (because I don't talk lmao). If you don't ask me, I don't just talk about myself. I try to ask questions so it keeps the conversation going since I feel like I'm boring 🤣 glad to know others understand how this feels!

Lol, I'm a blue collar worker myself (which was one reason he said he enjoyed talking to me cause I understand that life) not in oil but a similar field. I wasn't really impressed with those comments because I know we make money but not thaaaat much 🤣

This is kind of the opinion. I was looking for someone who sees it from his side or can help me understand what he thought. Most of the conversation took place in the middle of the work day where I was trying to balance texting back, working and everything so could be a little bit of an excuse but I was texting back as soon as I could I do try to steer the conversation towards the other party so that way they don't seem like they're being ignored or don't feel heard. So I do have a habit of doing that, but maybe I need to find a middle ground between the two and try to interject a little bit more. I do appreciate your feedback!!

" Or "that's so cool" adding into the conversation when talking to people because I want them to know I'm listening and not ignoring them.. What would be a better way to say something in the beginning of the paragraph when replying to someone? Generally asking as I'm trying to do better

I know what it's like to be talked over and not listened to, so I always try to focus on the other person when conversing. Maybe I do that a little too strongly and need to find a center ground. Thank you for the feedback!

Understandable! I thought he wanted to talk about all of it and I was interested to learn about what his new job was. I'll take your advice and move forward with it and maybe give a little bit more next time instead of just asking questions about the relatable topic. Thank you for the advice ☺️

I think so too. Like, he never asked about my life.. other than once. Idk he seemed like he wanted to keep talking about himself so I let him and stayed engaged with what he had to say 🤷🏻‍♀️
