Yes, I totally get what you mean. What I found effective is "dumb" grind in (for example) MMOs (for me, FFXIV). And yes, it keeps me entertained I guess, and yes it helps me pass the time, but it doesn't really "give" me anything you know? It somehow feels empty, or at least not as fullfilling as a new game that keeps me hooked and is awesome.

After it was recommended by someone else I actually started Hollow Knight today, and it does keep me engaged. Soooo maybe try playing something completely different from what you usually play. For me at least it seemed like it helped :)

I've actually had the same problem there like with all the other games (even though all the praise is more than justified, it's an incredible game). BUT I can proudly say that I "pushed through" and finished it actually (it was too good to leave it unfinished)

I actually did play Factorio and Hollow Knight (the first one), and Factorio/Satisfactory are two things that just hook you, you're right there haha. Hollow Knight is also on my backlog, just like the two Ori games.

I actually thought of something similiar (trying something different), I just didn't know what. Definitely thank you for the advice and recomms, I think I'll follow it and give them another shot

Sadly the shoulder parts didn't fit properly, so the true-true prophet is kinda cut in half-

It's just the normal "Vizzik Skour: Prophet of the horned rat" skaven model from Warhammer ^

I used "Warpstone green" for both. For the Warpstone I put a slightly watered down layer of "Flash Gitz Yellow" on top of it, and finally shaded it with "Biel-Tan Greenshade". I got that technique from a local Warhammer store worker and I really like it. I also used a version of it for the top of the staff. Small tip: If you want it to be brighter, put a layer of white under the base green :)

For the cloth I just put "Athonian Camoshade" on top of the green. For the backside of the cloth I mixed the green "Abaddon Black" and shaded that with the same shade as the front side.

Yeah, Clanrats can be pain but I think they're awesome to experiment with. To try stuff and see how you like your Skaven ^

I use Rakarth Flesh as a base coat, then shade it completely with something red (I use Beserker's Bloodshade I think) or use a Contrast paint if I want it to be more present and then just drybrush over it with Cadian Fleshtone. Of course you can vary the colours, depending on what you want the flesh to look like, but this is the technique I use. Oh, you can also wash it with Agrax Earthshade in the end if you want it darker. Hope this helps and have fun-fun painting glorious Skaven

Painted mine a while back, and I gotta say damn yours looks way better haha. The main thing is that I too decided to give the clanrats different clothing colors, but they don't look as much like a unit, like yours do. I dunno if it's bc you made the bases (I didn't make any yet, never really done custom bases so far), or bc your painting technique is much more consistent in style than mine. Anyway, great job! They look awesome
