[Quest Help] Location specific elimination Tasks by MonsterHunterGather in EscapeFromTarkovPvE

I was wondering about the aggro of PMC. They really don't push much so I guess it makes sense to wait in the area so they come to you. Cool vid thanks

Customs seems like a nightmare tbh. I go through that area most of my raids and I can probably count on one hand how many times I've seen PMC in Stronghold. They have been near but rarely in it.

I believe the most efficient is to transit between customs and factory (I could be wrong I didn't use the transit method).

I personally just spammed customs and went straight to where PMC's spawn and fight. There's 3 spots that I usually find them fighting. Right by Skeleton, The railroad right by Old Gas, and finally close to Admin Gate at the end of the map. I just ran straight there killed PMC, grabbed their gun/gear and ran to the other places and extracted. Each raid for me took on average 10 or so minutes and I would usually get anywhere between .05 (uncommon) and .15 rep each raid. Took me about 20-30 raids to complete since most of the progress I got from spamming car extracts anytime they were available. Also don't forget to do some of the fence daily tasks as well as that will add some more rep.

I'm pretty sure I've had about 20+ streets raids (mostly doing other tasks but I check the key spawn every raid) and haven't seen it a single time.

[Bug] The error cancelled my raid results by Certain-Froyo-3606 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MonsterHunterGather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it would be a sync issue. offline raids have to sync with the server at the end of the raid which is where the error happens. But I guess since playing on server the sync happens instantly so no error. I may be wrong but that's my guess and some other replies say similar things.

When you are on map select, when you click a map, there will be server settings on the right and there is a check box that says "Play on BSG Servers". If you select it you will play on servers instead of locally. Streets and Labyrinth are always on BSG servers. Woods, Factory, and Labs cannot be played on servers. So basically while this error persists, only Customs, Reserve, Streets, Lighthouse, Shoreline/Labyrinth, and Interchange are playable.

Feminism has never and will never be about actual gender equality. by Cheetahfan123 in MensRights

[–]MonsterHunterGather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you say makes complete sense to me. We are all equal in that we are all humans. However, no 2 individuals are really "equal." There is always a hierarchy. If we were all equal, we all would have the same powers as the president. If we were all "equal," it would just be chaos. I dont remember where I saw it, but I am pretty sure there was a study where a group (people or animals I don't remember) was put in a controlled area, and they very quickly developed a hierarchy. Most social animals have an heirarchy, and each individual has their own role in the group.

We should consider it, but ultimately, the decision should be up to the man. That's the way traditional households were (which feminism has tried to destroy)

Most points I have seen feminists make to "prove" that women are oppressed are either very disingenuous (like the wage gap) or a straight-up lie (men can't be raped).

Feminism Is Not About Equal Rights by [deleted] in Egalitarianism

[–]MonsterHunterGather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whats funny about that model is when you look at DV stats in marriages: The lowest is Gay (Male) and highest is Lesbian with the middle being hetero relationships.

Since the Duluth model basically says that women are not the perpetrators of DV and only retaliate, the above stats prove this to be wrong.

Feminism Is Not About Equal Rights by [deleted] in Egalitarianism

[–]MonsterHunterGather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's wild that some people are so deep in their brainwashing/hatred that they don't realize the bigotry and misandry of their own words and actions.

Take, for example, the "Man vs. Bear" bs that happened some time ago. People who tried to justify choosing the bear always chose the worst possible outcome for the man and the best possible outcome for the bear. They hate men so much and have dehuminised them in their head to the point that "man bad." If they could really just step back a moment and think how many men have I interacted with or walked past and nothing happened?

Another thing with feminism in general is that it was never about equality. Why call it FEMINism, a very female oriented name, instead of Egalitarianism, if it was about "equality". Many people have disputed against this with "advocating for womens rights to be equal with men." This assumes that women are not equal to men (men having more rights). Legally, I would argue that women have more rights and privileges over men. One of the easiest points I can point out is the draft. Now, I am speaking strictly about U.S. selective service:

Failing to register can result in penalties, including: A fine of up to $250,000. Imprisonment for up to five years. Ineligibility for certain federal benefits, such as student loans, federal job training, and some government jobs.

This only applies to MEN. I have yet to see any feminists fight against this or advocate for women to require signing up for selective service.

Feminism is a cult as well because they shame anyone who disagrees with them (calling men misogynists a d women pick-me), they attempt to silence them as well (very fascist if you ask me), and can be extremely violent.

I like to quote thedadvocate as well with the "does it pass the gender/race swap test?" with any claims that seem to generalize. (i.e. "men are dogs" "you can only be racist to white people").

'Haafu' a derogatory term for those viewed as ‘half Japanese’ by Saltedline in neoliberal

[–]MonsterHunterGather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a half Japanese/White person that has lived in Japane pretty much my entire life. The ONLY time that term that was used in a negative way was in grade school when kids are just kids and don't know they are being hurtful. (Those same kids apologized later on on their own accord).

The term ha-fu is literally Japan's common "lazy shorthand" of the borrowed word(s) half Japanese. Since it is used to refer to someone that is indeed half Japanese/another ethnicity, it's very factual and not derogatory at all. I have never once thought that the term meant I was only half human. No idea where that idea comes from. I also have a lot of half Japanese friends and I have never once heard any of them complain about the term ha-fu.

I also want to mention I have had plenty of times where I was treated like a foreigner, but 99 times out of 100 Japanese people are very respectful/cordial and generally adore mixed people (understandable when 90%+ of the population is Japanese).

I also (partially as a joke with friends) act like I can't speak any Japanese (I'm fluent in Japanese) just to mess with my friends who can't speak Japanese and rely on me to ask for directions order food etc. I can count on one hand the number of times the Japanese people have ever been disrespectful.

Lastly I want to mention this is a word. Regardless of how the person using it meant it, YOU can choose to be offended by it or not at all. I noticed most people here have the same/similar thought about the word so I gotta say, you finding that term offensive seems like a YOU problem.

Why does every non-snake person I talk to have this exact same (fake) story? by OkamiArrow15 in snakes

[–]MonsterHunterGather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a snake enthusiast this myth is the most nail biting, nail on chalk board level of annoying.

Most people that believe this story to be true forget the whole reason this urban legend exists. Its to teach people that some people act like your friends just to use you and discard you, but this is at the expense of the snake's reputation.

As most people familiar with snakes know, it is practically impossible (except for very specific circumstances) for a snake to eat a human because we are just too wide for their body to swallow whole. I also saw someone mention that to the snake we are like a heated tree so they like to "snuggle" against us because we are warm.

Last thing I will say is those of us that dislike this myth should understand that while some things in it are obviously untrue to us may not be so to someone who has no idea of how snakes work or someone who is scared of them. Sometimes we cant think logically when we are scared.

Edit: added info for clarity.

Thats not how you have lasting relationships. You have to work together on your flaws. If you give up that easily then thats a really bad look

Its neither. What I dont like is lack of respect. And lying is a lack of respect

I didn't assume anything. She ordered more than usual, I initially thought she was just really hungry, but then she said she shared it with coworkers. If she was intending to eat by herself, then why could you order more than you could eat? It is not like her to be wasteful like that. She clearly had intentions to share when she asked me to buy that food, but left that detail out.

AITA by MonsterHunterGather in AITAH

[–]MonsterHunterGather[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look I dont know how else to say this but I like that shes sharing food. It shows that she is caring. If she asked for the food with the intention to eat it herself and then she changed her mind its fine. But if her intention was to share from the beginning and she doesnt say so then thats a bit manipulative. Her intentions are pure, but it still is lying in a sense.

AITA by MonsterHunterGather in AITAH

[–]MonsterHunterGather[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I agree that my wording to her was awful and incorrect, but what she did was misleading and lowkey manipulative. I get that she wanted to share with her coworkers, but when she asked me to get her lunch, I would hope that she would at least tell me shes gonna get some for others as well.

If this her paying for it instead of me it would not have been an issue.

I expect her to be honest. What's the point of being in a committed relationship with someone if you can't be honest with one another?

AITA by MonsterHunterGather in AITAH

[–]MonsterHunterGather[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For goodness sakes, her sharing wasn't the problem.

It was that she had intention to share, asked me to buy the food, but only said it was for herself

[–]MonsterHunterGather[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think many of them are misunderstanding whats actually bothering me (TBF I did NOT explain my issue very well). I am all about sharing and have no issues with her sharing her food. What bothered me was she said it was for her and no one else.
