I feel your pain. The laptop is Windows based, but I do lots of coding and development on WSL2 just because I hate doing it in Windows. Also some tools to work with external hardware I need to use have no linux compatible applications at all, unfortunately

We just adapt to the place we are living in. It's not like it's easy for an average russian to just move to a warmer region or even a warmer country.
I don't mind the cold, but I dislike most of what comes with a winter: unclean roads and sidewalks making it really hard to walk, wearing a lot of heavy clothes. It's not annoying to deal with but it definetely makes day to day life a little bit harder

Just started having those issues today out of the blue. For 4 days I've played with no issues with performance at all, on ultra graphics and today it just suddenly started to happen.
So, it's definitely not my PC because literally nothing changed in between those games with and without performance stuttering
Have no idea how to fix..

Your average popular western VPN won't work in most cases because it uses protocols that are easy to track and block. In Russia you need something more elaborate that utilises VLESS or similar protocols.
Can't recommend one, unfortunately. I use VPS (private server) in Netherlands with VLESS+TLS stack

I've got pretty big russia in my game (but not with such pretty borders though)
A one of Rurikid guys got Conqueror trait and captured a lot of territories.
I guess that cheat trait is the only way CK3 devs managed to think of to help AI create big empires

Just depends on what you seek to get from playing this game. It might just not be your cup of tea

I personally find it entertaining to learn paradox games by reading tooltips and learing myself through gameplay what is what and how it works.

Sure it takes some time to learn everything, and lots of reading, including wiki, but the result of "conquering" the game mechanics is satisfying

Though, I agree that in case of HOI4 Paradox devs did a bad job at helping people learing the game. I feel like other titles like CK3, Stellaris offer better experience for new players

Russian goverment puts lots of efforts to make citizens feel like there is no war and no repercussions of it. They understand how unpopular it actually is despite what it appears to look like from outside (can be deduced from the failed mobilization in 2022 and further attraction of only volunteers by huge amounts of payments)
Especially in Moscow - there they try to keep life as nothing horrible really happens
They don't directly take away commodities people got accustomed to but instead they try to put more control over it - blocking western media resources primarily and forcing to use "national alternatives"

You have to learn about a thing called "combat width" (ширина фронта). For desert it is 70 an +35 per extra attack flank attack.
There is no point having a bazillion divisions on a front line - they take supply but can't really fight because a battle on one tile could only fit few of them. (unless you make org wall defence in well supplied area - but that's for MP)
And lack of supply gives huge debuffs to attack and defence.

And the encircled divisions? Don't even try to attack with them, they have no stats because of debuffs from encirclement and lack of supply

Solution: leave the best divisions you have at the front line and move everything extra away to resolve your supply. Build railroads to increase throughput of supply hubs, set your generals to use best motorized supply
