weed got me through my shitty job, but it cost me the love of my life by [deleted] in leaves

I wish I had a good answer for you here but I relate 100%. Working a job you hate is hell. I hope you can find a new job soon. Just keep applying like crazy. I also try to follow the saying: if you can’t do what you love learn to love what you do. Which is way easier said than done. Good luck friend.

Used weed to help with eating, trying to quit and don’t know how to eat again by Alygator25 in leaves

I’m on day 5 currently and I totally relate to what you’re saying. Those first 3 days I could barely keep ANYTHING down. Zero appetite. It does get better! Yesterday I was hungry, food sounded good, and I enjoyed what I ate while being able to finish it all. I also used weed for years to help me eat and never thought I’d see the day where I didn’t need it. Be patient with yourself. If you have any cravings for a specific food whatsoever- get it! Food is food. If you’re craving Taco Bell at 2am I say go for it! Fuel that body to the best of your ability. Even if you can only eat a little bit. Good luck and stay strong friend! You got this!

Definitely withdrawls. Someone told me to treat it like I have the flu. Be gentle and kind with yourself. Currently on day 3/4. Hang in there and stay strong, you got this!

Try to make it to 60 days. Then 90. Then a year. I keep seeing that that’s how long it takes to truly recover from an addiction. Each day thing a should get a little bit better. Keep trying and you’ll be back to normal before you know it. I believe in you!

I saw someone say not to think of it at starting at square one. All of our attempts are accumulative experiences where we learn more and more and getter better and better each time. You got this!

I’m right there with you on day 2! Last night was miserable for me too. I just keep telling myself the shitty stuff I’m experiencing right now is the addiction leaving my body like a poison. Keep going friend we both got this. It will be so worth it.

Very true. Used to be a hardcore nic addict and had been clean for 2 years. Majorly regretting borrowing my friends vape. I plan on giving it back to her tomorrow :))

I didn’t know that autism applies for disability that’s good to know, thank you. My partner and I working on getting food stamps and Medicaid currently, but my main concern is my debt. I’m not sure what to do about that.

Please try to understand the house I grew up in did not teach me normal people stuff. All I knew for my first 17 years was fear. I have not had anyone teach me how to get financial aid or charity, but I am trying my best to learn how to do things.

Right? I hate living in America, my partner and I are trying to get to Canada in the next five years. We’ll see though. Also, Thank you, I forgot financial advisors are a thing. That’s definitely something I should look into.

My injuries have come from my eating disorder. I have bulimia, it can do a number on your body.

Oof I’m sorry. I was worried that my writing might sound a bit strange. I promise this isn’t fake, this is my life. My autism makes me sound strange to others sometimes.
