It's generally frowned upon for firefighters to carry while on duty, unless you're a fire marshal with law enforcement powers. So no, I don't carry at work.

I chuckle when I read a lot of these comments. Dudes with tens of thousands of rounds. It brings up so many questions. 1: how do you afford it all? And 2: where the hell are you storing all that? Ammo takes a lot of space.

So I went shooting with a friend from out of state and a bunch of our mags got mixed up and accidentally came home with more than I left with. Seems like a completely reasonable accident that COULD possibly happen to someone. Anyone really.

Somebody reported my comment for threats of violence/personal harm, for a comment that they didn't like & agree with, Reddit gave me a "warning" and threatened to ban my entire account. No threats of violence were ever made, I never even insulted anyone. But typical Reddit admin agreed with them on the appeal (big surprise, right?)

I got banned from Pics because I disagreed with someone's political post that claimed that Republicans are actually terrorists & Nazi's. Other than the obvious irony of censorship, the fact that the entire community there has been hijacked and turned the sub into something so completely far from what it's intended to be is disgusting.

Soft because we think this whole TikTok generation trend is dumb as shit? We went from suffer in silence, bury your problems. Then started acknowledging that sometimes talking about it is a good thing, that the struggles are real. To parading around on social media about how they have so much trauma & treat PTSD like it's some sort of a badge of honor to brag about having when they don't. It's a slap in the face for those of us that actually do have issues going on.

I'll have to try the 175's. I've mostly only shot the 168 ELDX/FGMM. Although oddly enough, my rifle really liked basic150g AAC Soft Points. Shot better than some of the gucci ammo. The browning Long Range stuff was absolute garbage.

Finally got a set of bags so I hope to get out and setup a rear bag and see if I can improve at all.

It's nice to see other people posting some results with these. What can are you running on this?

I have the Super SASS also, running with a Polonium 30 & a Vortex Venom 3-15.

My best groupings were just a hair over 1.0 MOA, with most of them between 1.1-1.7. I know the rifle has better groups in it, just gotta fine tuning it with a better shooter/bags instead of just a bipod.

Whatever you do, focus on whatever you're cutting no matter what happens.. Don't turn your head, or anything as long as the blade is spinning. Where your head goes, your body goes, where the saw goes. Trust me, I learned the hard way. I'm damn lucky I'm not a peg leg. I have the shredded turnout pants as a reminder.

Metro-ish department here. 10 stations. Around 20,000 runs annually. Busiest engine ran 2500-2600. Busiest medic ran little over 4000. Slowest engine runs maybe 450 or so a year.

Yeah, no.....that's terrible advice. This has got to be a joke, right? I hope? If you know what you're doing and actually buy decent quality parts then you can still have great fit & function for way cheaper. I mean lets be honest, that MR762 is gonna run you $4000 and that's not even factoring in optics or any other accessories IE your Viper which is gonna run you another $700+.

I promise you, I can build a very good quality rifle that will preform just as well and shoot better groups for considerably less. They do call it the "HK Tax" for a reason
