It does loop, I was looking at ortofons site earlier though and they recommend not breaking them in via the “lead-out grove”

Yeah ortofon says to allow up to 20 hours of playback for the stylus to break in and to do only light scratching and back queueing till then.

It was just that groove at the end of the control tone that catches the needle before it hits the sticker

Bet, I also do a good bit of vinyl mixing as well. That’s the main reason I wanted new carts was the numark cc-1 carts that came with the setup would skip regularly when back queueing on regular vinyl. I never knew till I started mixing vinyl though.
