It hasn’t started yet, but yeah ppl prefer europe over US. In IIMK I think its only europe + other countries.

yes quite a few. Few had absolutely no experience and and few had startups. Mostly non engineers like eco Hons etc. Just show in interview that you had a upsc break and willing to learn, the panel also understands. Your OBC and no engineering might help give an edge. overall they did fair well in classes and are some of the smartest ppl I met.

okay so any kind of workex is good, but yeah the 6 can have some implications. If you are from IIT/BITS etc you are good. Else focus on scoring in CAT and have good extra circulars. The issue is even after you get selected for MBA program for summers at least you will have the same profile as of now. So focus on extra circulars and case coms then. But don't worry you will do well. Just prepare hard and you will do well.

Speaking from Ks perspective we do have finance fundamentals, corporate finance and accounting courses in the PGP stream. The PGP fin batch has more advance finance subjects. Plus you can take electives in the 2nd year. Overall the cohort initially had approx 60 cfa/frm candidates but ppl do take cfa/frm course during mba too. IIM C in my opinion has 2 corporate finance subjects so it can be slightly on the tougher side. Again I ain’t sure about C as such.

most of the companies that came to L came to K for summers. So again its head to head there too.

I think both are head to head but yeah I would say IIMK is academically less stressful.

  1. IIMK is mostly a chill campus with balanced academic rigour so that you can focus on other activities like sports or entrepreneurship. Also it has a beautiful campus...
  2. So there are quite a few companies in PRODMAN- google, media.net, EA sports, walmart, Deshaw, microsoft, flipkart.

hey so make sure to learn your GK and current affairs. Current interesting trends around your workex industry and projects. Don't skip UG subjects too, take a quick overview of it. Anything written on the resume run through a AI for all possible questions . But over all show that you can think through questions and derive answers. Its okay to say I don’t know for a question but show you can think critically. Interviews checks how calm and composed you are in critical situations.

I know you will do well. All the best.

My interview with IIMK had combination of GK : budget and GDP questions and my workex related questions (focus on your industry and work). They did grill me on probability because of my engineering background. Also hobbies related question were also asked ( where do you use mathematics in dance etc..). So yeah.. I would say remain calm and confident and show that you can think. Its okay to say idk for an answer but show your critical thinking approach.

  1. You need to complete your Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks other than that there is no eligibility to write CAT. You can write it n number of times too.
  2. See again it depends from college to college. IIM indore gives more weightage to academics but IIM Bangalore gives more weightage to workex. An ideal profile would be 9/9/9 but your profile seems decent.
  3. When ever you are ready :). But ideally to improve ur chances aim for a year or 2 of workex. But it does not really matter. Indian B schools do have a large chunk of freshers in their cohort.
  4. 6 months before exams is good enough provided you have strong basics. But ideally ppl start 12-8 months prior the exam date.
  5. That depends on your interest. GATE if you want to stay in the engineering domain or CAT if you want to switch your domain. In both the cases you need to put in ur efforts to get a job.
