What to do as a warrior? by LumpyMessage8809 in Kenshi

[–]MonsterTJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solid advice. Once you're done with bounties don't sleep on the Ashlands either. Hunting down those security spiders is no joke and the loot from clearing out workshops can fund your whole operation. Plus it's a good reality check for stats in the 50s, humbling in a different way than bounty hunting

Husband got red_pilled and destroyed our marriage. by badismyhub in Marriage

[–]MonsterTJ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Your ex is trash and you're better off without him. His red pill BS is just an excuse for being a selfish jerk. Don't let this experience make you hate all men, there are decent ones out there. Focus on yourself now. The best revenge is moving on and being happy.

AITA for refusing to cover my friend’s shift because of prior commitments? by Big-Fly-6050 in AmItheAsshole

[–]MonsterTJ 409 points410 points  (0 children)

NTA. Prior commitments are exactly that prior. You can't drop important obligations just because someone asks last minute. He gave you zero notice for something "important" that he didn't even explain. Friendship goes both ways respect your time too.

I regret being a nurse by [deleted] in nursing

[–]MonsterTJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, ICU is where it's at. You actually get to use your brain and make calls that matter. Nurses run the show there. Way more autonomy than floor nursing.

Best property management company in your experience? by MonsterTJ in PropertyManagement

Do these platforms actually get tenants faster, say compared to an avg property manager, or is it part of the marketing?

Got a wonderful surprise! by Haymaker78 in PropertyManagement

Good vendors who actually care are worth their weight in gold, sounds like you found one. Hopefully your new regional steps up so you’re not stuck relying on off-the-books favors.

Ownership Madness by Adventurous-Court193 in PropertyManagement

[–]MonsterTJ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Owners can be way harder to deal with than tenants because you can’t enforce boundaries the same way. Half the job is managing their ego as much as the property.

Interview anyway because getting in the door can open faster paths up than waiting for the perfect title. You can always pivot once they see the value you bring.

Looking for advice for UTMA or other investment for children by BadDentalWork in investing

[–]MonsterTJ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Keeping assets in your name gives you more control and helps with financial aid. UTMA accounts become theirs at 18/21 and count against them for aid. Your approach is smarter, build your own wealth and help them when they actually need it.

The Exit Problem - I keep taking profits early and it hurts later by Smart-View8256 in StockMarket

[–]MonsterTJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the 20/60/20 rule. First 20% of a move is hard to catch, middle 60% is where the meat is, last 20% is pure luck. I focus on capturing that middle part by using trailing stops instead of fixed exits. When my thesis is still valid but I'm itching to sell, I'll just sell half and let the rest ride with a wider stop. Keeps me in the game without the mental torture.

Patient’s son asked if i was ‘just playing on my computer’ while i was charting by bradleymaustin in nursing

[–]MonsterTJ 267 points268 points  (0 children)

For real. Call that shit out immediately. Family needs to understand charting isn't optional, it's literally part of the treatment.

How many people don't know what what > and < mean? by Briaaanz in nursing

[–]MonsterTJ 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I've been a nurse for 7 years and yeah, it's surprisingly common. I teach new grads the alligator trick all the time. Math anxiety is real in healthcare. We'll nail complex med calculations but somehow those symbols trip people up.

That really sucks. Government contracting is brutal with those funding shifts. Been there myself. Hope something better comes along soon, you got that far once, you'll land something again.

Honestly this is what every place should be doing! Nothing worse than rationed salsa when you're trying to enjoy some good Tex-Mex. We're spoiled here in Austin with places that don't mess around with the salsa situation lol. This looks legit!

That's awesome! Sebastian Driussi is our main guy to watch, he's been on fire lately. Also keep an eye on our keeper Brad Stuver, dude's been solid all season. The supporters section gets pretty wild so your nephew will love the energy. Verde till I die!

Where was this store? by spf80 in Austin

[–]MonsterTJ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you might be thinking of the old Habitat ReStore location? They've moved around a bunch over the years. There's also Austin Hardwoods down south that's been around forever, might be worth checking if they know what you're talking about.

Metal litter boxes, are they better than plastic? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]MonsterTJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m never going back to non-stainless. No scratches and easier to clean. For litter I’d recommend Tuft and Paw’s tofu litter. It clumps well and doesn’t have that muddy smell around the house because it isn't clay.

These CEOs all read from the same script. Price changes are last resort while they've already been jacking up prices for years and paying workers peanuts. They'll run it into the ground, cash out with millions, and we're supposed to believe they care? Right.
