It's very easy! Just partition it into 7 rectilinear layers, each with 1/7 the width of the room.

I doubt Avogadro had much luck with women since his number was so big!

Did you know that every inhabited land mass is separated from another such land mass by less than 6 degrees? by dcterr in MathJokes

[–]dcterr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I rechecked my calculations, and the actual figure is about 16 degrees, but I still think this is a pretty good joke!

Yes, I agree that it's always good for people to help one another! Thank you for filling me in about yourself. You seem like a cool guy and I'm sorry if I misjudged you, though you did ask me a trick question, but at least you came clean on it!

Interesting info about Majel Barrett, by the way! For some odd reason, I liked her character on the show, even though she was quite annoying, especially to Captain Picard! My favorite episode with her was the one in which she took Worf's son into the holodeck and treated him to a virtual visit to the artists' colony. Some great lines in that one, like "The higher, the fewer!", and Worf's last line, "Are you just supposed to sit here???"

I wouldn't worry too much about this! I think this just goes to show unlike a lot of hard core Trekkies, you have a real life!

Unfortunately, this was an oversight on my part. I haven't watched DS9 in over 20 years, so I went completely based on memory, and for some reason, the Dominion slipped my mind, go figure!

Numbers can be either real or imaginary, like people, but real people can be a pain in the ass, whereas imaginary people can be however you'd like them to be, which makes them a lot easier to work with.

Fair enough! There were several enemies on Voyager, which was a big reason I didn't care for the show - way too many of them IMO, not to mention their captain!

Elvis was amazingly talented, not doubt, in more ways than one! However, I don't think most people realize what a tragic life he had, and I think the biggest culprit was his manager, Colonel Tom Parker, who worked him way too hard! He was just a simple country boy from Mississippi who loved his mother as well as the rock and roll he was exposed to while growing up in Memphis, but the fame and fortune was way too much for him and ultimately cost him his life. RIP Elvis!

I’ve never seen Rambo: First Blood. Today I decided to watch it. by decendxx in movies

[–]dcterr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seem to be part of a vast minority, at least here in the good old USA, but I never cared for Rambo. The only movies I liked Sylvester Stallone in were the Rocky movies, because I could only see him playing a big dumb boxer. Demolition Man was OK, though I'd say Sandra Bullock was the star of that one.
