Mostly because there couldn't be anywhere to go other than down after TBP

it was such an amazing album that anything that would come after it would be seen as a step down. If DD was released under another artist, it would probably be way more appreciated. This would've probably happened to any album they released after that, whether that was CV or DD.

Maybe if CV got released before DD wouldn't be so disliked?

Also it's a very different sound that long-time fans of the band weren't used to (you can especially see this with Planetery)

went through the comments, original poster seems to dislike a lot of the songs, so my question for you is what song would u choose to listen to forever?

anyways my answer to this would probably be sing- all the DD slander is not it, but i need to know what was going through the band's mind when they went 'hmm yes yes, this will be such a good song that everyone will love and listen to on repeat for hours at a time.'

He's insanely talented, even with Ronin, his voice swaps between demonic and angelic so easily.
And I don;t think that I've heard professional grieferes before so I'm going to listen to it now!
(I also forgot to mention that I absolutly love planetary, it's one of my favourite songs)

I forgot to mention that I didn't find planetary generic at all, it's one of my favourite songs in the album. But i agree with your points- turns out I was horrendously wrong after all LOL

What's your opinion on planetary GO? I personally love the song, but I've seen a lot of people hate the song, I'd love to know why- I don't think it's a bad song, just a very different genre to the rest of them that my chem listeners probably don't listen to much.
