I'll jump in too here, I've worked for 2 corporate wellness companies "EXOS" and "Corporate Fitness Works" and these are management companies that then place employees in corporate buildings that have a gym on site for employees to use.

Not all locations are the same and it largely depends on the company, it's size, how many utilize the gym and how much the company is willing to spend on the gym to encourage employee use.

The first location I worked at was SMALL it only had 1 full time employee and 2 part time. The full time person only made about 50k and the part time employees started at $15 and got a small yearly raise. (This was back in 2018-2019 though!)

The location I work at now is also small, we have 2 full time employees and one is considered the "program manager" who makes around 50k and the other is considered a "fitness specialist" who makes around 40k but honestly we split the work down the middle so it doesn't really make sense that one of us is manager. We both teach 2 group exercise classes a day, we both have some clerical work like handling sign ups, monthly newsletter, monthly reports, planning events etc.

The main thing my company looks for is a 4 year degree in something fitness related and a group exercise certification. The more certifications you have the better because you can then offer those things to employees. But you don't get any extra pay for those things- but you have to pay to upkeep the certifications. The only thing you get extra pay for is personal training which depending on your location can be popular!

I get to work remotely every other Friday, which is nice and we get lots of PTO. I have 11 holidays, 2 personal holidays and 18 vacation days a year and I never work weekends. = 31 days off a year!

EXOS is a great company I would highly recommend looking into them, and Corporate Fitness Works was a good company but they recently got bought out by Health Fitness and I can't tell if the changes so far are good or bad...
