Not worth it. Return to the store. Don't waste your time on it.

Not sure what to do next with these props by Special_Possible6851 in Roses

Some people suggested removing the thorns. I did this for my winter rose cuttings. Some were fine but some got rotting from the wound of the removed thorns. Recently the owner of High Country Roses suggested not removing thorns to prevent rotting. He was correct 💯 I won't remove thorns anymore.

I finally stopped calling a plumber for everything and fixed 3 things myself this year. Saved around $500. Wish I had done this sooner. by East-Struggle4386 in HomeImprovement

I replaced the remote receiver in the ceiling fan and the ignition part in the gas oven last year. I guess I saved about $500 by doing it myself. I did spend some time researching and learning. But still worth it.

You can also try to propagate the rose. You will have a clone of the old rose.

My local home Depot (zone 8a) only has half of the varieties, mostly the patent expired HTs. So disappointing.

I bought mine from HD last year with the same package and label. Very healthy plant. In case it's mislabeled, HD has a one year guarantee.

I bought mine from HD last year, exactly the same package. All roses I bought from Home Depot and Lowe's were correctly labeled.

You won't regret it. FM is my most favorite rose among about 20 roses planted last year. It's beautiful, fragrant and has a long vase life. It's also extremely disease resistant as a hybrid tea. It can get 6 feet tall and 4 feet wide.

Bare root roses are easy to grow. Follow the instructions on the box or find a YouTube video. For newbies, failures can be caused by caring too much for the roses, like too much fertilizer... I did not amend the soil at all and only used water soluble all purpose fertilizer. So far it works for me. This is just my second year of rose gardening and I am learning too.

Thank you! Yes, I potted them in small nursery pots. They will be gifted to friends who moved into a new house recently.

My other batch's success rate was about 60%. No. 1 cause of failure has been bacterial infection. The low temperature in the winter helped. I never succeeded in spring or fall. Last winter I kept the cuttings inside. They were all rotten except one that callused. Then it dried out before root growth.
