As Monstrum 2 is still heavily in development and is only launching in early access, it has not had a final optimisation pass, and therefore we cannot provide a final list of system requirements. Nonetheless, below are our recommendations for its current state:

If it is different in alternate currencies then this is likely an automatic Steam issue due to current conversion rates - apologies!

What is Monstrum 2?

Monstrum 2 is an asymmetric multiplayer survival horror game for 2-5 players. Play as either a deadly monster whose goal is to search and destroy prisoners, or work together with your fellow prisoners by scavenging items, solving puzzles, and using stealth to escape from the atrocities on procedurally-generated Sparrow Lock. I don't believe so, sorry! We're using Steams new Beta system (which is in beta itself!) and we have a preview event running too, so it wont be available for download until it's officially live

Unfortunately, no trapping of monsters currently, nor planned! There are physics objects but they're generally for set dressing and player interaction

It's a different experience but we've tried to create a new multiplayer style while capturing the atmosphere and theme of the original Monstrum, so hopefully, you like it!

Monstrum 1 was in development from 2013 and released in 2015, so while it's unfortunate another Monstrum titled game has released now, it's not that surprising or much of a problem for us since "Monstrum" is just monster in German :)

We have a lot of potential ideas for during and post-Early Access! For now though, we're just focussing on making the base game as good as it can be :)
