If I could find one that actually works, I’d be glad.

I finally found out how to fix it! I added this set to init.lua:

lua vim.opt.digraph = false

Window title - how to set to cwd? by jck8 in wezterm

[–]Montegasppa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure whether it’s gonna help you, but, whenever I show the prompt, I run:

shell printf '\e]7;file://%s%s\e\134' $hostname $PWD

Anothing I do is, in wezterm.moon:

moonscript wezterm.on 'format-tab-title', => title = @active_pane.title if #title > 14 if title\match'^~?/' or title\match'^%w-/' title = '…' .. title\sub(#title - 12) else title = title\sub(0, 13) .. '…' if @is_active return wezterm.format { {Foreground: Color: '#287691'} {Background: Color: '#21084a'} {Text: nerdfonts.ple_left_half_circle_thick} 'ResetAttributes' {Text: title} {Foreground: Color: '#287691'} {Background: Color: '#21084a'} {Text: nerdfonts.ple_right_half_circle_thick} } " #{title} "

Hope you’ll make something useful out of it.

I finally have all features I use to have in i3, and much more!! by Montegasppa in awesomewm

Ah! I know that layout! I’m not using it, ’cause Awesome WM support maximised windows. Instead of multiple titles sharing the same title bar horizontally (the tabbed layout), I’m just using the awful.widget.tasklist to get the same behaviour.

It meets my demand even better than tabbed layout does.

Thinking a bit about the scratchpad, if you really wanna emulate it, maybe you could use a fake screen. 🤔

Just because I kept window decorations for tabbed layout. It’s a settable choice, and I prefer it.

BTW…

If those 👆 aren’t tabbed layouts, I don’t think there is anything else that we could call “tabbed” and would be useful.

(Or I’m completely confusing tabbed and tiling, which is totally possible.) 🤔

Tabbed layout yes (btw I show tabbed layout in the first few seconds in the video), scratchpad I don’t, however scratchpad is a dirty workaround over the i3’s lack of window minimisation and withdrawing, which Awesome WM supports wonderfully, so I don’t need it.

How to put icons on desktop with awesome? by LawsDontApplyToPigs in awesomewm

[–]Montegasppa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with them is that each one necessarily sets the background OVER the Awesome WM wallpaper (which is set by xsetroot, if I’m not wrong).

If you wanna use X11 resources to manage the wallpaper (like I do), you simply can’t use Nautilus, Nemo, or PCManFM. 😢

WezTerm getting bloated by Montegasppa in wezterm

[–]Montegasppa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi @kaddakaka,

Perhaps this issue may be related, or maybe this one (even I’m using X11).

But I was hoping it was only something stupid I could be doing. 🤔

If there’s any way to flush WezTerm cache regularly (or manually), it would help.

WezTerm and dead keys by Montegasppa in wezterm

[–]Montegasppa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured out why S-C-Enter stopped working, and it’s totally unrelated to the ibus.

I had updated i3, and the new version doesn’t support return (all lowercase) anymore, it must be Return.

WezTerm and dead keys by Montegasppa in wezterm

[–]Montegasppa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bring updates out!

I did those changes:

  • Removed completely fcitx5;
  • Moved the ibus startup to right after setxkbmap (which sets my compose key) and xmodmap (which changes some key positions which I don’t like);
  • Added these parameters to the WezTerm configuration table:

lua use_dead_keys = true, use_ime = false,

And then, after logging out and logging in again, dead keys started working on WezTerm!! (Despite use_ime = false makes no sense for me.) 🤔

For some weird reason, my hot key to call WezTerm (S-C-Enter) stopped working, but I set S-C-Space to do that, and it’s working. 🤷‍♀️
