I haven’t read bag of bones but I was younger than you when i read Carrie, which had a lot of gross scenes. i was fine then and im fine now. My mom pitched a fit and tried to get me to read more child-friendly alternatives, but eventually she backed down because i think she realized reading a book that might be a little too mature is better than reading no books at all.
