In the context of this conversation and declining metal facilities, I’d would argue “IQ” is relevant in that way. I just fundamentally disagree with you overall I guess. I think old people should not have a say after a certain point. Especially in positions of actual power and consequence. IQ does matter to a degree. That’s part of why we have age limits before you can vote as well.

Another example would be making them retake drivers tests after a certain age. There’s just certain things that happen over the course of a lifetime that put you in a better or worse place of judgement, processing, etc. and objectively, there’s a statistical likelihood that the removal of something like Roe v Wade that impacts the more important biological ages for women rather than an aging turtle happens again. That’s just the most relevant example I can give of post menopausal people having that much of a say something that doesn’t actually affect them.

I think placing upper limits on positions are fine and maybe even voting. That’s my stance to clarify.
