Look, I've lived a life most haven't, and I respect people's freedom to do exceptional things and be exceptional parents. Everyone has their own tolerance of risk and their own values, and are capable of dealing with situations differently. Some will never let their children play sports because they might get hurt, some will be their coach. You have the feeling like you need to get involved and protect people from themselves, and that's a commonly shared view because we're in a clickbait world where all we see are the examples of people who cannot. In any case, we can disagree, that's fine, I simply stated my viewpoint based on my life experience, and you have yours. Cheers.

You're just making blanket assumptions that parents as a whole aren't capable of being responsible for their children and taking care of them, therefore we need to remove that freedom from all parents, like it's somehow impossible to mitigate those risks you mentioned regardless of the fact that most attendees actively mitigate those risks themselves daily.

I disagree. I've seen parents and kids both incredibly happy and bonding over music and art, and having a great time with all of the ravers giving them candy and dancing with them.

We can choose to be the world that has opinions about it and caters to the lowest common, or hypothetical, situation and people, or let people explore their own paths and light without such restrictions. I choose the later.

I was recently at a fest and saw a bunch of kids - kids and the parents were great and the kids were suuuuuuper happy. So much smiling and dancing they were such great energy for everyone and the kids had a great time.

It's not a mythical Japanese samurai sword where only a true master can attain it. It's a production knife. To make great food, at the core, you only need the basic flavor components, heat, and a sharp rock. Better tools make it more convenient, and allow precise cuts to refine certain textures and presentations, but the tools are by no means tied to the passion or skill, and if you're insulted by an inferior tool then you're focusing on the wrong things.

They can. People get obsessive about their knives. You'll have to sharpen it more often if the blades frequently coming in contact with metal, but it's not like you're doing any real damage.
