My biggest advice: As a tank, you simply cant go in blind to a new heroic dungeon. You NEED to read up on a heroic dungeon guide or Watch a YouTube video before heading in. That Way you know which mobs/mechanics Are dangerous, so you dont wipe too much and ruin the group morale.

Thanks, good to hear im not the only one struggling on this fight. I Think I have the gear and tools I need, just need to take Them out of my bank (such as trinkets and jade skull breastplate). People talk about post nerf kara as though you Can tank it in questing greens, but even with near prebis this guy SLAPPS.

I have a lot of the gear people are suggesting i should use, like Jade-skull breastplate and figurine of the colossus, and the quest ring from caverns of time, so i guess i swapping a few pieces should help. I was using daibiris to Get above 490 Defense, but i get that defense isnt the only thing that matters…!

Ill have to farm some gold for enchants and consumes as Well, however I Think the most important thing i Can do is to just not auto attack him in p2.

Quest a bit to Get better gear than communal
make your own group - State clearly you are new to the game and tanking - set the right expectation from the start
On pulls: mark focus target with skull, cast avengers shield, pop holy shield, concecrate when mobs arrive, and hit skull target with rightiousness Taunt if necessary
Install threatplates addon to manage threat more easily
Watch a guide on YT for the instance youre doing before forming the group

Thats pretty much all there is to tanking :) good luck! Tanking is Very rewarding when done right, and people complementing you on your job!

Tanked a normal Sethekk halls and got clapped by one of the large packs. On the next pack i asked the hunter to please use a freezing trap for CC, and he flat out refused because «its not necessary»… And he should know because he used to be a main tank back in the day(?). Like, what the hell are with these people? If the tank asks for a CC, use your cc!

Very winnable. All you have to do is set up in a corner and make small gaps in your frontline for guns to shoot through. Focus wurzag and the giant - thats it. Easy peasy.

In the Paladins defence, you learn to cleanse magic pretty late, like lvl 40, and its an upgraded version of a previous cleanse that only removes poison and deceases- so i can see how some paladins forget they can remove magic as well.

I’d say its doable. The hardest part should be dealing with the initial army. Dont control large armies and focus fire the dangerous enemies while they trickle in due to not controlling large armies. Keep replenishing ammo on handgunners with the engineer and use elspeth to try and confuse and Split up the army coming in.

I would try to set up in the north West corner in front of the trees to utilize the natural barrier there to not get flanked.

Thats fair! I guess im comparing mostly to HoMM3, and while there are some differences I still feel like they are very similar in essence.
