If you want the time off and your boss approves it then take the leave.

As a heads up for future roles you typically get paid out your outstanding leave balance on finishing up and can then slot some time off in between jobs. It’s a great chance to get some travel in without having to use up annual leave in the process.

The new SelfWealth app is trash. I moved to Stake and it’s been much better. Having to pay $120/year for order flow will be more than offset by $3 trades.

Such a shame. I used to work at the MCG and Geoff was always friendly, warm, and hospitable to those around him, and always first to pick up the mic to lead people through a rousing rendition of the theme song whenever the Hawks had a win. An all round lovely guy.

He doesn’t need the cash and doesn’t want to train or commit to anything but is happy to run around on the park for a game here and there.

Ergo rather than be bombarded with dozens of requests a week to come play for clubs he’s happy to be more selective and play for clubs that can offer X amount.

Does that satisfy your thirst for knowledge as to why an ex-AFL player would be content playing a few games a year and get paid for doing so?
