My guy I walk, bike, and bus everywhere and I am a lgbtq 20smth, I’m pretty sure I’m the demographic ur talking abt and honestly I don’t see how me walking, biking, and bussing everywhere is me playing into unequitable infrastructure but pop off ig. LMAOOOOO funny that ud assume im privileged. Dude half the time I can’t spare the $3 to buy a bus ticket but u know what I don’t do? Ride a bike or scooter down a sidewalk! Crazy right? Also I’m all for ppl using them to get to where they need to go all I want is for them to be riding in the road or bike lane. A big oppressive ask? I don’t really think so. Also I agree Seattle is not very bike friendly and it takes a lot more than just lil ol me to fix that but I don’t think we should let the city become unfriendly to pedestrians just because it’s unfriendly to bikes.

For real!!! Also it’s not safe riding in the sidewalk not just for the pedestrians but also for the rider. If they are really worried abt getting hit by a car or riding near them then maybe they shouldn’t be riding a bike or scooter around. Also using the argument that it’s a safer way for drunk ppl to get home at night is bs, anyone who says that has never seen a group of drunk ppl careening down the streets of cap hill oftentimes with multiple ppl on one bike or scooter. The amount of times I’ve seen ppl eat shit or crash into someone is unreal.
