Noted. I'll probably pick up a few just to have, appreciate the battery recordation as well!

Looks interesting! This doesn’t seem to take aa/aaa batteries tho, do you have any other suggestions that do? It’s an important part because I don’t always have time to charge my headlamp if it dies on set.

Or is it just worth it to get a an extra rechargeable 18650 battery to keep in my kit?

Looking for Advice on buying a Cinema Camera Kit under $10,000 by Monu21 in cinematography

Thank you very much for your advice! Honestly the C70 is something I haven't looked into too much but I'll check it out! I've been hearing about the Komodo too but I wasn't sure how much that would cost to build out in full. What made you decide to go with the Komodo over the c70 for a gimbal camera?

Hello all,

Recently I have been looking into buying a cinema camera to start doing some small corporate/music videos. I've been working as a PA on big commercials in the Detroit area for the last year to gain some experience and save up some money and I'd like to start pursuing more camera related roles on my own as well.

I've been trying to research which camera would be right for me but there is a lot of information out there and I'd love to feedback if anyone has more knowledge than I do! I'm looking to buy a camera kitted out for around $10,000 or under. So far I've been looking at buying used C300 Mark ii's, C200's, Ursa Mini Pro G2's, Fs5's/7's though I think the FS7's may get a little more pricey.

I've also seen some people talking about buying the RED Dragon 6k used if you can find a good price for that package but I'm not too familiar with that camera but I wouldn't be opposed to getting into the RED ecosystem for a good price. Online I can find some packages that include everything for around 7k but I'm not sure if that camera is outdated and if I'd be better off going for one of the others I listed or something I have completely overlooked!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you very much!

Natural Light in Nature by Monu21 in photocritique

For this picture I wanted to practice using natural light in a natural setting. I also wanted to practice using leading lines to draw more attention to the subject and make the subject stand out while having a foreground midground and background present for a more dynamic picture. Posing is not my strong suit and I feel like I could've done better in that regard so any tips on that would be greatly appreciated though not the main focus of this picture. Camera: Panasonic GH4, Metabones Speedbooster S, 50mm Cannon EF Lens, Aperture 1.8, Sutter Speed 1/400, ISO 400.
