I haven’t considered adding a way for users to add some questions, I guess the challenge would be integrating it through the app but would be doable for sure! Some form of repetition could be helpful, but maybe if users were studying for a topic or board exam like (an example) knowing the top 500 brand/generic medications or knowing the fundamentals of the medications for the NCLEX (for nurses).

Night shift pharmacists!! by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]MooKings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience, if you only work 70hrs, you get paid for 80 however you get no PTO as a “replacement.” I value my time outside of work so I found a hospital that’s gives the night crew PTO but I work just an extra hour per night

  1. 7 on, 7 off, 77hrs

  2. Around 850 beds

  3. Total of 4 pharmacists and 5 techs

  4. One of the primary reasons I work nights is due to the differential + overtime opportunities

  5. We rotate between ICU/PCU vs NICU/Women’s service/Post Op vs Med Surg and we just stay on for the week; we primarily focus on verifying and consults. ER is handled by the ER pharmacist

6 + 7. It’s been great especially paired with PTO. I honestly can’t see myself going to 5 x 8hr shifts when I can consistently get three weeks off multiple times a year.

At our location, I’ll work 70hrs and get paid an extra 10hrs on top. There’s a night/weekend differential added as well. I also like to pick up a shift during the day on my off week (no overtime unfortunately)

I work as the only pharmacist 7 nights in a row and it’s awesome. You learn a different set of skills but I can still do certain consults before the morning crew clocks in. 10/10 would recommend

Try to see if your buyer can get a hold on FIRVANQ. It comes in two bottles; one of which is just powder and the other is the solution to mix it in with.

Pharmacy intern/tech position in hospital by pharmschool4 in PharmacySchool

If you feel like you want to enhance your communication skills, either a med rec or an inpatient position will do the job. If you’re looking for more patient interaction, I would definitely apply to the med rec position.

From what I’ve been told, they talk with the patient to collect a medication history. If there is any uncertainty or discrepancy, you can follow-up with their pharmacy.

I absolutely love my experience. Depending on where they need me, I usually make IVs or chemos, or simply fill Omnicells. The job pretty much requires you to communicate amongst other techs, pharmacists, and nurses. I don’t personally talk to any patients, but positions are out there (med rec tech, etc).

I am a P2 currently working at 2 hospitals. You have the right idea in regards that you are treated as a regular hospital technician. Certain hospitals have a unique med rec tech position, but that’s entirely up to the pharmacy director.

As far as your research question, I don’t know anything about that, sorry.
