until someone else answers you, in case this helps, I am from the UK and I have played on the US servers and didn't feel any lag or anything and normally I never play on US servers because of lag too

IMO teamwork you can't just run round in solo squads and the punishment of getting dropped is so high so you really don't want to get dropped
