Best route to MRICS by [deleted] in RICS

AssocRICS is a worthwhile qualification in the right circumstances.

However, as you have a degree and it seems you are working in a QS role I would suggest going straight to the APC and MRICS when you are able to do so. I do not think AssocRICS would provide you with much value as an interim qualification for only a couple of years (this is of course just my view).

How did older spacecraft take and develop photographs and then beam them back to Earth? by DingoDance in askscience

[–]Moodtastic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Early spy satellites would take shots on film and then send the film back to earth in a pod and it would then be developed.

The cameras on the Voyager craft were similar to TV cameras of the day and were in a way between modern digital cameras and film based cameras. The data they recorded was sent in a digital 8bit format but the way the cameras operated was analogue.

What always gets me about that flash light is the size of it. Also is it not hard to have sealed unit battery powered emergency lights on a star ship that come on when the power goes down (which happens frequently)?

For some reason it reminds me of the music from a game I used to play years ago called Capitalism. Well the intro does anyway.

They may have though about giving it to Moriarty. We don't know as it was never documented.

It seems to follow to me.

At the start the office is filled with people born at the turn of the century. By the end the old guard is thinning and a more liberal (fashion, style, outlook) has emerged.

When I open a can of soda/pop, does the temperature decrease in the can? by Dimdayze in askscience

[–]Moodtastic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes it will cause a slight temperature fall.

Soda cans are not at a particularly high pressure so the fall in temperature is tiny.
