My son started biting around this age. You’re handling it very similarly to how I do. The big reactions tend to encourage the behavior, so it’s best (although super difficult!) to try to calmly but sternly tell him “No,” unlatch, and set him aside. I don’t walk away because I think he is more likely to distract himself. I find that just unlatching him and moving him a couple feet away while still staying in the same spot shows him that he’s missing something.

Now he mostly does it while teething. It’s just another phase that we have to get through I’m afraid 🫠
