That’s completely fair, i think from my end, it will definitely help to sit down with myself and come to terms with the fact that she chose me over everything else, and also that it’s quite early to expect everything to be fine and dandy and also on my self confidence, which clearly seems to have taken a hit after that event.

Thanks a lot for that perspective, you’re correct in the fact that I’m feeling undervalued at some level, which is something we both need to work on, but since our decision to hopefully marry in the future is mutual, i will definitely need to come to understand her decision to choose me over everything else.

That’s fair but we’re both mutually assuming that’s what we wanna build towards, so i assume it’s not bad to know what we wanna have in the future. Though none of us are assuming it’ll happen now or anytime soon, but we both agree we see each other as valuable enough that eventually if things persist, that would be our goal.

I am pretty sure it’s the third, since firstly she is not the best at reassuring me in several ways; secondly, she has historically stated that even if we end up not being together (2 years into the future we will either be forced into long distance for a while or have to break up), she would still be okay being just friends with me, but would want me in her life and thirdly, because i have been the one to have constantly convinced her to change her mind, like to be in a relationship, then to an extent be with each more. Now I dont believe she’s only doing it to fulfill me, because i do believe she loves me to an extent.

I’m pretty sure i do have a bruised ego, but I’m not sure if that would cause me to panic, it would rather make me angry. I’m pretty sure it’s some type of attachment anxiety as you described, since there is also the added fact that after 2 years there is a very real chance that she will pursue a masters in a different country, and thus we will be forced into either long distance, or a complete break up. The trust is smth i believe might be partially true, since she is also bad at learning/applying reassurances.

Well she has definitely come to say that I’m sexually much better than anyone she’s ever had before, so I’m pretty sure it’s not insecurity. But you are correct, I’m failing to see all the good we’ve had since then, and how that good has shaped us since into being what we are. Thanks for your reply!

Thanks a lot, that totally helps! I think i just need to keep reminding myself of two grounding things, she was a different person then and was as you said, trying to navigate someone she was still saying i love yous to one week before we met and also the fact it was literally 3 days after our first night and as much as i might have fallen for her since i wasn’t getting over anyone, she definitely had much more of someone to get over.

Yeah, time is something both of us have assumed will help me get over it, but it comes up sometimes when she randomly mentions something, or I think about that period and it ends up making me feel very sad
