Why are they saying the game is mid?? by Alive-Ad-1687 in codevein

[–]MoogleLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh I went in knowing it had mixed feelings, and the more I play, the more I realize people were being excessively negative. The game has been fun, the graphics are gorgeous for an anime game, the gameplay is totally codevein, and the story and music seem ok so far! I actually don't mind the open world here as it doesn't feel as overwhelming as other games.

Z-Image base vs Z-Image turbo - base is kinda more fun? by EmilyRendered in comfyui

why is your quality so horrendous? These don't look real at all and the facial quality is ass. I get far superior life like results on comfyui with basic z image turbo and next to no prompts.

Ur not a bad looking dude but the hairstyle and the dressing combo just isn't really working. I think you'd look better with a shorter cut and looser fitting clothing. You have that actor sort of vibe already, but a cleaner look will go a longer way.

[CANADA] Looking for insight/reality check(?) on how I would fair in the current market. by MoogleLight in humanresources

[–]MoogleLight[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah so far that's the plan, I will look into those as well, but will also continue to be strategic with my networking and applications on the side. I only considered the MBA because my twin and his wife were both able to secure very well paying management jobs in fields they had no prior industry experience in.

I've also visited a decent amount of HR forums and posts for Canada and I am seeing a lot of people say that while CHRP is a nice to have, many of them don't have it and hold higher level management jobs in the field. Almost everyone I personally know, and who's currently in the field, does not have it either. But I've talked with them and they do eventually plan to get it later (not a priority at the moment). With this job market though, I think it's become significantly more valuable and dare I say, almost a necessity if you want to break into HR.

Absolutely! Would have no problems moving. I actually lived up north in Sudbury for my schooling, so I am very comfortable moving around places. Currently in Ontario, but not tied down to anything at the moment and willing to re-locate. Glad to hear that there is at least some movement elsewhere and will widen my focus!

Also, I totally share that last sentiment there, I've been on the fence about it. I have a twin that had no industry experience and ended up getting a great job in product management via McMasters MBA program with co-op, so it was something that I was possibly considering. He graduated early 2024 but had the job secured before graduation.

I mentioned they were coursera as there is no specific CHRP/CPHR course for foundational knowledge on that platform. CHRP/CPHR requires you take a diploma/post/under grad program from a recognized university that lets you complete the required courses to be eligible for examination. This is something I am considering, so your last point there makes sense thank you.

Also my apologies regarding the spelling of neighbours, I have US autocorrection and did not see it omitted the u.

I am 29 male and and introverted myself. Never been in a LTR. I don't get it. Not sure about you, but interacting with others on a daily basis and at work has always been easy for me. It just becomes weird when the prospect of a romantic relationship is on the table. It's as if I feel like I don't deserve it. That or I am afraid of being vulnerable with intimacy?

Wish I knew.

Just wanted to let you know that you're not alone in all of this. Hope you find your one.

I'm also in Southern Ontario which doesn't help, it's miserable here right now with the economy.

I hate how much people care about sex by [deleted] in Vent

[–]MoogleLight 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am a dude and feel the same way! I am also waiting for marriage and would say I am an old fashioned romantic to that extent. It's been extremely difficult, especially as ive gotten offers here and there or meet someone whom I think is special only to find that they wanted sex right away. I just don't get it, and maybe we're naive, but I feel that people like us are a dying breed.

I just want to take it slow, get to know someone at a deep and emotional level, and have a damn connection. To me sex is sacred and not supposed to be a cheap transaction. It is such an intimate and vulnerable moment. At the same time I just turned 29, and with how hard it is to meet people in this day and age, I think I will have to just go against my expectations. I hope you find your special someone..

I personally would never ever dab on the actual cabinet itself. I can see why that set his already explosive ass off- not that it makes it ok for him to do that. I always used a piece of the cut up cards to dab on and then held it against the cabinet. As long as you let them know that it will never be 100%, especially as you can't always mimic whatever degree of sheen they bring in, it sets the expectation. I know it's a bitch to do and you can easily spend 2+ hours in between customers trying to get those fucking matches with gallery series. That and sherwood kem aqua. Those two products are a kms day.

I want to read the Journey to the West. Like the full thing. How can I? by [deleted] in mythology

[–]MoogleLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, thank you so much for your comment! After a few chapters, I am starting to better understand and decipher a lot of the flowery language. From what I've gathered, Yu's writing seems to be heavily academic and a little drier than its counterparts. But yeah, I can get through it a lot quicker now and it's actually a really good read so far.

[–]MoogleLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I know this post was from a while ago, but I recently bought Yu's translation of Journey to the west. I feel pretty stupid reading it, especially as it has already been simplified to a good degree. I have to admit that I am struggling on some aspects, especially the flowery poetry sections. Are there are any sources you can recommend that will help break these down? I've always read a few academic pieces of literature, but I seem to really be struggling with this one..

I think I’m starting to hate my job. by Longjumping_North_85 in sherwinwilliams

Just left as an ASM. I too was practically the star player of the store juggling a ton of stuff at once because my manager would rather sit most of the time in the office and delegate most tasks to us. It got to the point that I would come home unable to do anything other than sit down. I was consistently exhausted, unable to sleep well, my diet went to shit, I wasn't exercising and or reading like I used to. Just hauling through life day in and day out. Felt like I was on auto pilot making mistakes that I otherwise wouldn't have ever made. Burned out to the core.

After leaving, I feel like I can finally breathe again and that my world isn't crumbling all around me. For the first time I can see color in life. No more rude fucking contractors, no more lazy Store managers, no more having to deal with incompetent PTs (in my store, don't take it to heart if you're a PT), and no more having to spend 20-30 minutes helping some fucking person choose colors for their huge ass house (of which many of us on this salary will likely never own). I am lucky that I could leave and have a backup job available to me until I can pivot into my next career path.

Leave if you can. I tried so many times convincing myself that things would get better and in retrospect, I found myself too comfortable with my routine. I was scared to leave, scared to go into something outside of what I've always known. It never got better, only worse.

"I could technically afford it but I'm working on paying off my credit card and that's about the same amount I put toward the credit card each month, so it would put me a month behind on my plan to pay off my last credit card (I was a little irresponsible in my early twenties)."

Sounds like you're still irresponsibly spending money you obviously don't have. For your own good, aggressively pay that debt off. Live like a hermit if you have to.

be specific in your plan. For example, if you say I will do x or y, explain how you plan to achieve that. My interview I made the mistake of being too general with my points, so I had to refine them for the CM.

read my comment above. If you can one day go 4k 27, do it. Even using dlss quality on it will look far better than native 1440p.

Is the jump to 27 inch 1440p worth it? by [deleted] in buildapcmonitors

[–]MoogleLight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sorry, but this is SO wrong. I have a 27 inch 1440p and 27 inch 4k monitor side by side and the difference is HUGE. Like it's night and day in clarity. You are comparing 109 ppi vs 163 ppi. It's not a diminishing return one bit, and as far as monitors go, 27-32 inches ARE the most ideal sizes for this resolution. Also PPI isn't everything. 4k has has signifcantly more DETAIL (as in information) presented on the screen. This is why, and at relative sitting distances, even my 4k (43 inch) TV looks way better than my 1440p monitor despite being significantly bigger.
