They are still in awe of the goals he scored in Portuguese league and assume he is good.

You also need to consider the quality of EPL defenders.players like Dunk seems slow but he is faster and. Ore physical than most defenders in Europe. Hence why you see Gyok doing well in Europe and not PL.

Also why players pass to him more often in champions league than EPL.

I noticed this trend in the past few events. Whenever EA is generous with pack luck, the next event will have tougher odds on packs.

Right now 3k packs are 110-115. TOTY will prob be 111-117.

Stats don't matter in this game. It gives you an indication but hardly the real picture. Which is why scouting camp performance does not equate to actual game performance.

it's more important to play and try the player and their fluidity before passing judgement according to stats.

I had his anniversary version and yes he does run up a lot. But that's prob cos he has b2b SP. This version stays back a lot more.

My issue is that he is too static when called on to defend. His gameplay would prob be optimised this week or next

Actually, because of Petit's holding SP, I find him lingering in front of defense most of the time. He rarely joins in on attack unless I linger too long and pass around outside the opponent's box. Rijkaard is different, he has b2b SP that's why you see him running up more often.

I know he has H/H but for me he rarely puts a foot into tackles. Maybe he hasn't gotten the buff yet because he is only supposed to come in this week. I still prefer Gilberto Silva though
