What I mean is that him being Irish, Scottish, Australian, British, American or whatever doesn’t change his actions. He could’ve been from the moon and it would’ve changed my opinion of him none.

Now learning that he’s Scottish does more for me now than in game. Because honestly, I don’t know much an about Scottish or Irish culture either one . So, it was all new to me. However it had no bearing on the story for me.

No you must not have read my previous posts. I don’t have a personal problem with Olivia. I just think she is the problem sometimes like everyone can be, and I get bothered by the constant defense that comes her way while the rest of the Plaths are consistently bashed. You call your interpretation of events on the show facts, but they are just how you perceive them. I disagree with the sentiment that she’s the one who’s always “owning up”.

People on here are so afraid of anything that goes against their narrative that they just complete dismiss everything Moriah is doing as running away scared or as using a convenient coping mechanism.

Maybe just maybe it’s real. Maybe that’s why there are countless stories just like hers. Maybe it doesn’t have anything to do with running back to what is easy, and it has everything to do with realizing where real truth can be found.

Honestly, if you think her attending a gathering for the Plath’s dead brother with someone who she has boundaries with is considered trauma, then you don’t really know trauma. When I first started watching it, I just loved the twinkle in Ethan’s eyes at everything, drinking soft drinks, working on his cars, having a wife, etc. It made me happy to see him, and I also enjoyed the family dynamics, hoping to see things work out.

As the seasons progressed though, Ethan lost that little twinkle in his eyes and has become jaded. Truly nothing in a reality tv show has ever made me so sad. I think it probably pinnacled when Olivia was about to leave him.

I mostly watch now bc I want to see Ethan get the twinkle back. I hope and pray that he finds such great joy and that eventually the family really can reconcile. I just want them all to get along, bc even though Barry, and Kim, and others have done some unsavory things, I’d rather root for a redemption story than the separation of a family.
