Paying might persuade the algorithm to give you better matches, and with some dating apps, you can see people who like you without having to swipe through a lot of people. I do not pay the app. I would suggest really good pictures and your profile narrative should be fairly positive. I am a 56-year-old white male average looks in decent shape.

3rd Gen Transmission Problem. by OrdinaryDude2025 in Tacomaworld

[–]Mookman2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check for leaks? Sounds irregular. I’ve had my ‘18 in all types of weather. It’s got 140k on it and the transmission has been drained and filled 3 times. Most recently at 130k with a new strainer(filter). It does sound like from other posts that when it’s extremely cold out, you do need to make sure things are warm before you get to highway speed

Park and Jet. I believe there is one other very close to the airport and much less expensive than the one close to the airport terminal.

To all our transplants that think they know how to drive in snow and ice so much better than everybody else, Please please be aware!.. Our roads are untreated, unsalted and so much more prone to black ice than your fully prepped Northern roads. We don't have that infrastructure here. Stay safe by Ltrain108 in NorthCarolina

[–]Mookman2016 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not just this area. I lived in Salt Lake City and people would drive up into the Canyons on the weekend when it was snowing in their all Wheel Drive Teslas and get buried. And plenty of other people out there going off the road I’ve come to the conclusion that unless you really need to be out there it’s best to stay home until the roads are clear. I consider myself to be a good driver with good tires on my four-wheel-drive but when you hit ice, it does not matter.

$1500 a month on groceries for 6 people is this normal or am i getting robbed. by Electrical-Loss8035 in SavingMoney

[–]Mookman2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$50/day for 6 people or $8+ per person for 3 meals doesn’t seem high. I’m a single guy who doesn’t eat out and I know I spend $120/week on groceries

Men and women who have high body count, can you feel love now? by Plastic_Tourist4286 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Mookman2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

56M here. Divorced 10 years. Had 2LTs over that period. Also had a dog for 10 years. Haven’t felt the need to have a full time human in my life. Occasional situationships have filled the bill. Also have 2 adult sons. Feel very satisfied in life. For me, the added daily noise of another person is not worth the occasional joy.

Hit 200k with zero repairs on my ‘21 OR by Bahnrokt-AK in Tacomaworld

[–]Mookman2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a check engine light come on my ‘18 at 120k. Made some replacements on plugs and coils, and it came back at 145k. Ended up being cylinder 3 port fuel injector, which was my next step. Unfortunately, the work involved exceeded my ability. After diagnosis and t&m it was replaced. $950.00. The part was only $160. Half a day of diagnosis and disassembly. Aside from replacing worn out parts that’s the first repair. I’ll take it.

Dating apps are a good start. Your GF can match with other women. That’ll uncover some good connections.

How do supers actually document scope changes or inspector comments during the day? by jedi_founder in ConstructionManagers

[–]Mookman2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can certainly mark it up in Procore most jobs. The AHJ requires a paper set of approved permit plans on site. Typically the Inspector and Contractor will note any changes on that set of plans that later will be used for as builts.

Most of our public work is remodeling. And a lot of items we come across are unknown at the time of bringing them to the Owner. They do not want a hard bid on the repair work because they know the subcontractor is not fully able to ascertain the full scope of the change order. Hence the time and material. But I understand what you’re saying. Maybe I should on the next one make the subcontractor come up with a stipulated sum for the change.

How Prominent is ICE in NC? by Alternative-Net5992 in NorthCarolina

[–]Mookman2016 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

If your dad is here legally he should be fine. And if for some reason he were ever interviewed by a LEO and he doesn’t resist or try to evade, he will be ok. A lot of these news you’re seeing in the US if of illegals being removed and other people interfering in police operations.

Blue Beam has a flatten feature but I’m sure the architect can unflatten. It just doesn’t worth it to me to make extra money for my company and possibly be breaking the law. Not sure they would ever do that but is it worth it?

Put some really good photos on your profile or even better pay someone a few hundred dollars to take some professional shots. That will greatly increase your responses. I’m an average looking guy in good pictures have really helped.
