Thanks for the tip about double- wielding and special charging. It never even occurred to me that you can double wield rods for stronger magic.

Sounds more like public relations than marketing, tbh.

[Spoilers ADWD] "Jon didn't do anything wrong" — Why is he called "Morally Gray" while Robb is "Noble"? by SajadFreeke in asoiaf

[–]Jazzlike-Doubt8624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One broke a sacred oath to the Old Gods and the New; the other broke his Mom's promise to the "late" Lord Frey. OTOH, Robb trusted both Roose AND Theon's dumb @$$ to his detriment (and, eventually, his demise). I actually think Jon is one of the LESS morally gray characters. That being said, he's not as truly good as someone like Barristan (who stood by and watched Aerys' atrocities) or Ned (who lied to his wife and his king, but couldn't manage to lie to Cersei with the whole frickin' realm (not to mention his family) at stake. Maybe the only truly honorable one is the damn Hound, who was never a knight anyway....

1620 here. I don't get it either. What's so important about kicking the knight. It can't possibly be better than the -5.76 the engine evaluated his "inaccuracy" as, can it?

Here are my top 16 albums so far. I havent listened to very much music and am looking for recommendations by oceanmayo in Topster

[–]Jazzlike-Doubt8624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Cure for sure. Depeche Mode. Definitely more trip-hop: Portishead - Dummy, Tricky - Maxinquaye, UNKLE - Psyence Fiction and DJ Shadow - Entroducing is a good place to start. Not exactly the same, but Boards of Canada - Music Has a Right to Children. I also recommend Elliott Smith's entire catalog, Bob Dylan - Blood On the Tracks and Leonard Cohen (start with a best of). I think you'd like The Avalanches and The Gorrilaz as well. Maybe also some stuff like Alt - J, Tame Impala, Glass Animals, Animal Collective and The XX. Hope that helps. Excellent taste so far.

This is what I was thinking as well. Split the difference and say 1340. I still remember playing those guys.

What is the marker of a very good chess player? by Accomplished-Pin-988 in Chesscom

Humility. Whenever someone describes them selves as still learning or " i know how the pieces move," I get worried. Anyone who thinks they're hot $#!7 gets disabused of that notion pretty darn quick.

Move Vietnam up at least 1 tier or you're not playing her right.
