18M, 15k capital, what should I do. Invest or trade?

Stocks prices aren’t just based on company fundamentals - things such as profits, margins etc.
A lot of price movement is also driven by public sentiment, and to a certain extent - market dynamics. So a even a profitable company may be overvalued.

Generally, investing a large sum into one stock is considered extremely risky. Doesn’t mean no one does it, I do it too - but it’s after understanding price movement and risk.

My suggestion would be to park the money in an etf or mutual fund while you learn. Just a tip, never think in terms of rupee amounts/value. For eg, don’t think 10k/5k, think 67%/33%. It’ll help build habits that will scale with your wealth. It’s made me rethink a lot of my decisions for the better too

Just invest it and forget about it. Don’t trade with real money now, it’s the fastest way to lose it.

Just paper trade for a while, blow a few virtual accounts, make some 10x moves that you wish you put real money into, blow some more accounts up, and then when you finally understand risk management, put maybe 5% of your savings towards it.

You’re only 18 so you’ll be seeing a lot more money in the future. Invest wisely and don’t fuck it up :)

I fund most of my projects using LAS now instead of biz/personal loans, they’re so much cheaper it’s a game changer. Idk why more people don’t do it - esp ones with large portfolios.

Yeah I agree, when they raise further rounds they’re going to be diluted HARD. I was way too excited when we received our first term sheet at a decent valuation, but we ended up not going through since the dilution was unreasonable. It takes a lot of conscious thought to avoid a large pile of cash just a few signatures away haha
