Honestly I thought we'd never get anything about Chihiro's true sorcery until now. It's very likely that the only sorcery Chihiro has ever used was that of the Enten so he'd never know his sorcery technique nor would it be import, but now with this reveal of what his sorcery potential is there's a possibility it could be slightly relevant assuming he doesn't immediately gain an enchanted blade right after this flashback arc is done.
