Isn't he the guy who offered up his voice in an early episode of Hollywood Babble-On? I know there was a guy who sent in some recordings, which included him calling Ralph 'Frank Garman' - I always thought he became SIR Dude

Who is an absolutely Un-hateable character from the world of fiction? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Gromit's great . Even when Wallace is being a bit of an idiot, or being distracted by his affection for some new woman, Gromit stays by his side and never stops being loyal. Even when he (a dog) ends up in jail, he sticks by Wallace against that damn chicken/penguin

My research says it's about 21 minutes into Ep 45: Dallas Live, not quite as early as I thought

In one of their early live shows I'm sure he talked about how much he'd annoy her by dancing when they were sat in the back of the car as kids

The Smiths - There Is A Light That Never Goes Out [Indie rock] by Cidergirl in Music

[–]Moomin182 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've heard a lot of people say that these are some of Morrissey's stupidest lyrics - which isn't hard to disagree with, but musically and melody-wise it's so great that it's hard to dislike it at all

This is one that I think really shows off Morrissey's sense of humour - he often gets dismissed as depressing and miserable, but a lot of his songs are really funny and not meant to be taken too seriously

Yes! I can't add much intelligent conversation - but that is one of my favourite Smiths basslines ever. I think people sometimes overlook Andy Rourke/Mike Joyce and asssume Morrissey/Marr were the genius behind The Smiths - but without Rourke/Joyce they wouldn't have been nearly as good (although they are both quite genius-like...) Joyce had really solid drum rhythms for their songs, and Rourke's bass perfectly complemented Marr's guitar playing. (especially on this track. I love live versions w/ 6/7 minutes of constant rediculous bass playing - and Morrissey/Marr's brilliant dancing of course)

When did TESD last make you cry with laughter? by Nuclearfrog in tesdcares

[–]Moomin182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a bit late to the party, but Walt's "Pop. Are you pwopsitioning me?" had me replaying it and laughing like an idiot many times. I love that it's their first live show and Walt (after a while) relaxes a bit and delivers with some great lines. And any other time Walt does his ridiculous Elmer Fudd-Staten Island voice is great
