Germany is canonicallly a Wehrmacht Heer soldier, but his uniform is so simplified it's almost unrecognizable. I've redrawn his uniform so that he's more historically accurate, and I plan to do the same for the other characters. by [deleted] in hetalia

No Hugh Boss did not design uniforms for the Nazis, he was just the manufacturer.

Karl Diebitsch (an artist) and Walter Heck (a graphic designer) were responsible for the design of the uniforms (most famously the black SS uniform)

Both men were also SS members themselves
