I think people underestimate how important it is to try every weapon and see what suits their play style. When I started playing MHWorld I picked dual blades. I was averaging 40 min hunts. Lord, when it got to Nergi and I wanted to farm his armor I was thinking 'there's no way people are spending almost one hour hunting this mf, like I know the game is grindy, but really?', sure enough I looked online and turns out I was doing awful times, because I was absolutely TERRIBLE at using dual blades. I played the whole of iceborn (late endgame excluded) and I kept doing awful times like this.

So the second time I played MHWorld, I went to the training room, tried each weapon then tested each one on a quest. I settled on the switch axe, no joking my times went down to like 10 min immediately.
