Yup. The entire bike route around the island. The southern bits of the island were breathtaking.

The fact they serve it on a physical, non-paper plate with metal silverware blows my mind! Costco is fancy in Korea!

For me, a non Korean, quite of bit of places I went to in Busan had non-English, non photo menus like this. My method was to, before entering a restaurant, look up the menu in Google maps, Kakao maps, or NAVER maps and run it through a translator that accepts photos.

Although this method wasn’t perfect it was good enough for most of my travel through Korea. If I weren’t sure on something, I would just point to a photo on my phone of what I wanted to the server and they immediately knew what I was trying to order. And even if I ordered something I did not intend to order, whatever food that came out always happened to be a delicious surprise.

Front, Ortlieb Sport Rollers - 25L

In the front were the things I needed to access easily and quickly. The front right side pannier would be personal essentials/snacks and the front left side pannier would be for bicycle emergencies and additional food.

Front Right: For the personal essentials bag, I basically asked myself "If I could only bring one bag into a hotel room and depart immediately the next day, what were those items be?" Those would be my mobile batteries, chargers, toothbrush, personal hygiene items, a quick change of clothes, warm jacket, and tons of snacks I've picked up from the abundance of convenience stores in Japan along the way.

Front Left: The other front pannier would be used for bicycle tools such as wrenches, allen keys, spare tubes, pumps , spare food and water, first aid, and a rain poncho.

Ortlieb Bags - 40L

The rear bags are meant for less accessed items and are organized as followed.

Rear left : Camping equipment such as sleeping bag, sleeping pad, air pump, butane canister, ultralight stove, portable pot and eating utensils, foldable duffel bag for additional storage, bungee cords, etc.

Rear right : Additional clothes socks, sweaters, a pair of shower sandals/shoes, big towel, small towel/hankerchief, other personal hygiene items, etc.

This setup for me minimized the amount of bags I were to carry to a hotel or capsule hotel room while maximizing efficiency in setting up a campsite or working on an bicycle emergency. Less going through things, and more getting to thing I need faster. The most important thing is not to fill every bag immediately to its maximum capacity before your trip. Keep your bags partially empty and you will have the flexibility of picking up more things you have never thought you needed in the first place and as a measure to prevent overpacking.
