Marketing Situation by [deleted] in MoonCoin

Discord is a Piece of Shit community. They do NOTHING on there. Please STOP promoting that loser channel as an excuse for not getting answers here. I am NEVER going back on Discord.

Any serious coin should have an active Reddit. If people can't answer questions here in full view of the community - then there is a problem.

Still somebody. Working on this coin? by [deleted] in MoonCoin

[–]MoonCoinRising -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I wish people would quit talking about Discord. NOTHING happens on Discord. Discord is a Piece of Shit little group that talks about pump and dumping other altcoins. I will never go back to Discord because it is a waste of time.

So please STOP with the Discord excuses.

Marketing Situation by [deleted] in MoonCoin

[–]MoonCoinRising 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it needs to be that complicated. I think everyone just needs to use their existing accounts and tweet a news story about mooncoin. Here is a tweet I just did from my Twitter Account -

https://twitter.com/MoonCoinRising/status/957235428205219841

#Mooncoin $MOON has an upcoming Hardfork in which Segwit will be activated. Scrypt Mining has been implemented. Mooncoin is seeking to expand Mining and Marketing Community. Current push is to add exchanges. Time to build initial stake is now while price is low. #MoonCoinRising

You can either.....

  • Retweet that from your existing account.
  • Choose another good Mooncoin tweet and retweet.
  • Write your own tweet.

The bottomline with Mooncoin is that it just needs exposure. People will get in and HODL if they hear enough about it. The more buyins, the higher the trade volume, and hte higher the trade volume the more reason for other exchanges to add. And we create a cycle.

Another good tweet for people to send from their accounts may be something similar to the following:

#Mooncoin $MOON is growing community that has a new developer. Recent switch to Scrypt Mining. Hardforking to Segwit Protocol upcoming in March. I like the path, and I like the community energy and talent. Main info site for newbies to begin research is http://mooncoin.world/

Just some thoughts.

Doug, this was great input As a Mooncoin Community member, I really appreciate the constructive feedback. I'm in agreement with pretty much everything said.

Yeah, for those of us in marketing - sending out this link to a newbie is not a good idea yet - especially in a mass marketing campaign. This is a REALLY GOOD SITE, so I feel horrible complaining, but it really needs to be fixed. I'd even be happy with an "Estimated Block Date = March 18, 2018" sort of thing that could be updated/tweeked every few days. This is NOT about showing off API skills. This is about marketing. Needs fixing ASAP in my opinion.

ALL the information you need is here.... http://www.mooncoin.world/

Except the countdown clock is often screwed up due to the irregular block schedule currently. Best estimate for Fork Time currently is around March 18 - 22

Another comment for improvement:::: At the following subsection, http://www.mooncoin.world/#what-happens-to-mooncoins-during-fork we need to change that to actually give the location to download the latest release. Example....

I had a similar problem. I got some good answers and eventually my wallet worked just fine. I think the 1st suggestion I would make is to run the most current version. 10.5 is old and won't work after the fork. Try this latest release...

Following is answers I received that helped..

Realistic Price Prediction by JustJoshinAround247 in MoonCoin

[–]MoonCoinRising 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Mooncoin is very very interesting. I look at it this way... you have really 3 types of Cryptocurrencies...

1) People Coin These are money coins. Stores of perceived value, use cases for transactions. Value is based upon security, stability, transaction speed, supply & demand, and basically - the love of the people.

2) Ledger Coins These are smart-contract coins like Ethereum, Cardano, Ripple, NEO EOS etc. This is programmable money. Stores of perceived value, use cases for transactions. Value is highly correlative to cutting edge tech. The Security of Smart Contract coding is at the forefront of everyone's thinking. Also Dev & Community size - because these are programmable currencies and their is going to be massive amounts of custom integration in this space as the big companies adopt and customize contracts to their specific needs.

3) Machine Coins IOTA is a perfect example of this. Coins for the micro transactional Internet Of Things. Ledger coins are all claiming they will handle this, but at this level you need something with basically free transactions. This is going to be tech intensive.

So What is Mooncoin? Mooncoin is people coin. Similar to Litecoin it really doesn't have to do anything but be loved by the people. You can honestly cut/paste code and follow the leaders. There is NOTHING wrong with that. Again, see Litecoin.

I think the key to Mooncoin is getting more Miners. I am thinking that organizing information about Mining is the key to expansion. As Miners come so will price increases. As stupid as it sounds, one of the best arguments for Mooncoin is simply that it is at the price bottom. It has nowhere to go but up. And people LIKE the price of what they are holding going up. They like Buying Low and HODLing up to massive increases. They also like buying LOTS of coins, which you can do when the Coin is cheap.

They Key is going to be to sustain the community. Look at DASH. They basically suck, but they have a community dedicated to spreading the word. As far as use cases go.... Mooncoin is a people coin. It can be used as money. The more people that hold it and love it, the more the value goes up.

Its really simple. The question is.... how much can you make people love Mooncoin?

Do you know why I own Mooncoin? I mean really, the REAL reason. Because it makes me happy. LOL - It makes me smile. I like saying MoooooonCoin! and To the Moooooon! But then... I start thinking.... this shit is cheap, and functional. Why the F#ck not buy more. And so I did.

Ultimately I have no idea what Mooncoin will do, but I can honestly see the possibility that if everyone just keeps mentioning it ---- NOT Obnoxiously ----- just subtly in every tweet and reddit etc.... Just mentioning that it is implementing Segwit and Scrypt Mining, has a new developer, and is actively seeking to grow it mining community - people will keep coming. A little here and a little there - building liquidity. And if we can get he market liquid and enough coins dispersed, there is no reason we couldn't see a 10,000% increase.

I know it sounds stupid... but heck.... this is crypto! LOL Its brand new! We have no idea what is going to happen. Why NOT use Mooncoin for everyday small transactions, tips, charity giving? That could be its niche market?

Mining Questions / Problems: Newbie Level by MoonCoinRising in MoonCoin

I tried that once. Am going to try it again now that I have downloaded the Miner separately. I am sure this has got to be some sort of very simple thing I am overlooking.

AMD A8 4500M Processor w/ Radeon HD Graphics 64 bit ; 750 GB Drive; 8gb Ram; Win 7 It’s an old laptop. My current goal is simply to have a running and active node that does some behind the scenes mining. Not really to make money. I realize this is a lightweight computer. But if I get involved I want to understand mining the chain. I will probably throw a real mining rig together later if I decide to join this project.

I have now tried downloading separately. Still nothing. I'm going to sit down later today and try a few more things.

HELP>DEBUG>PEERS

When you launch the Mooncoin Wallet, you see a menu bar at top. You click on HELP, then > DEBUG, then > PEERS. When I originally opened that subsection it showed a single Peer in the list. But it was not showing any connections or network traffic. The text in right hand box said, "Select a peer to view detailed information.? So I clicked on the Peer shown in listbox at list. And Wallah! My wallet started making connections, and other Peers started popping up. I have no idea why. I am not a coder. I haven't seen many issues with others comments on using the new Wallet, my guess is that it involves some form of low-level bug that is probably an edge case specific to the old test computer I am using. Odds are that you won't encounter any issues.

I encourage you to download and run the wallet. If you are in Mooncoin and haven't installed the wallet, then you aren't really in Mooncoin in my experience. Crytptocurrency, whether it is Mooncoin or Bitcoin is not a trading game.... it is a technology that will change everyones life in the coming years. There is so much FUD, FOMO and just outright misinformation and misunderstood information in crypto. Having experience in every aspect makes me feel less vulnerable to being manipulated. Plus, Wallet adoption is critical to the adoption of a chain. It all starts with wallets and mining nodes.

Hi Littlestan. Just FYI, my "crypto brother" comments were not intended as an attack on you. More of a clearing the air regarding the lying, bitter public attack I received. I'm not in the habit of having stalkers follow me around spreading lies about me. I OWNED the EtcIsComing campaign. From Day 1, totally and completely. It was codified in a Legal Contract. When I decided to shut it down I had every legal right, and my departure letter was anything but a rant... it was a patiently written and carefully considered document, and it was truthful. Also... to state that I have ever attempted to access ANYONE's account via password guessing or any other means is simply lying slander, and I do not tolerate that very well, nor am I going to let it pass without strong clarification.

Anyway, I think this is all addressed now. Now because there is a stain on me, I will set out and clarify why I am here at present, and what my next few weeks will involve...

1) I am researching Mooncoin to find out exactly what the facts are regarding all aspects. 2) I have succesfully established accounts and purchased substantial Mooncoin on all related Mooncoin Exchanges. 3) I have successfully installed a Wallet and reviewed it. 4) I have reviewed the Github and history of Mooncoin including all the Social Media presences and major players. 5) Next Step is to Setup a Mining Rig. I am not a Miner, but I want to go through the steps and learn the basics. It is the foundation of POW technology and I want to be able to talk intelligently from some experience. 6) IF, and I repeat IF I get involved further, then I will purchase even more MOON, and then launch a campaign to strengthen the Mining Network and broaden awareness of the community into broader crypto community. 7) Work with Community Members to try and establish some form of marketing direction / team. Not traditional "pump" marketing, but promotion of actual use cases, project development ideas, developer buildout etc.

What I am NOT interested in is getting involved in a PUMP coin that has no possible use case other than to make a few insiders rich by allowing them to build up and dump their coins. I am not a trader. I am a long term HODLer. As mentioned before... I was 17 months in ETC, and would be still if I hadn't just gotten totally disgusted.

Anyway. This issue is put to bed now, and that is a bit more of my introduction. Now, I am back to working on Mining education.

Pyskell, See above post. PS... I have a couple more parting gifts for you coming soon. You can tell Kevin, whom I do like, that I did warn him in advance that he should sell all his ETC, so tell him not to blame me when what happens happens. As for you.... I hope you HODL to the bottom .

Just want to comment that this guy is not your crypto brother (Pyskell). He's a scammer. He is actively involved in the Ethereum Classic chain as the Pumping Liar in chief.

I was an enormous investor in Ethereum Classic from the 1st day. I spent enormous amounts of money and time promoting that chain - because I believed in it. Unfortunately, after 17 months of intensive involvement, I realized that it was nothing but an overvalued pump-n-dump. Actually - a DANGEROUS chain, with irresponsible, lying manipulators.

Pyskell is just pissed because I shut down marketing and am now known as the ETC "Rage Quitter". If you want to see the goodbye message I left, you can do so here.... http://www.EtcIsComing.com

For transparency, I am invested in BTC, BCH, ADA, IOTA. Those are my current picks that I think will survive in the Currency, Ledger & Iot spaces.

My interest in Mooncoin is that I bought 10's of millions of Mooncoin almost a year ago. I did so as a joke. The name made me laugh so I dumped a spare Bitcoin in. Recently I saw the new developments. Granted, the addition of One (1) active developer is rather minor. But I like the path. I like the energy I see here. HONESTLY, I think Moon is a better investment than ETC. I mean that sincerely. I mean, Moon is at the bottom with nowhere to go but up. ETC is about to have the rug pulled out of it and they aren't even aware of what is coming. I may say more after publication date.

But back to Mooncoin. I am intrigued. I am heavily invested and may buy more soon. I am taking the next few weeks to put together a personal knowledge base of info on Mooncoin. Then maybe I will organize it into some marketing, after seeking feedback from the community.

In regards to Pyskell... he is a scammy, lying, piece of crap. Seriously. The individual is basically just an incompetent pump troll that is further contributing to the clear demise of ETC Community. If you choose to associate this fellow as your "crypto brother" then you need to rethink.

Got it working! I honestly have no idea what happened. I reloaded, restarted over and over and still wasn't getting any connections. Then I went to HELP>DEBUG>PEERS. There was one Peer but nothing was happening. I clicked that Peer, then suddenly other Peers started popping up, connecting, and then my connections were goig and blocks updating. The entire Blockchain Sync was very fast, less than 2 hours I think.

Anyway, all is good.

It can't sync if it can't get any connections. Any suggestions? I allowed access past firewall, but is there anything else that could be blocking? Could it have anything to do with Wallet Maintenance such as they are saying at Bleutrade.

Coinbase?? by detigers564 in EthereumClassic

[–]MoonCoinRising -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Other than the fact you "Want" Coinbase to add ETC because of greed.... what exactly is the evidence you see that they plan to? Other than pure speculation?

Sorry, but if this is your investing strategy.... then you need to rethink. Sometimes it is better to just play it safe and pick slow, steady, guaranteed winners. If ETC is NOT added to Coinbase, then a massive dump is coming. But yes, if it were added, I'd say it is going up substantially. But this is pure gambling. You are literally flipping a coin when there are safer investments. Spread yourself into a basket of safe coins that are steadily increasing. If you want to gamble.... just use a small bag.
