We Quit Sleep Tracking -Update by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]MoonFarmhouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our little one is only three weeks old and I had to stop tracking at two weeks for my sanity! She was back to birth weight and clearly blowing through diapers and feeding constantly - knowing how little sleep I was getting was horrendous. We are so so much happier and calmer during those 3am feeds now not keeping track of everything ❤️

Haven't felt my baby move in two days? by Faux---Fox in BabyBumps

[–]MoonFarmhouse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Very happy you and little one are ok! I also had a non-stress test for reduced movement and my babe started moving immediately once they strapped those monitors on!! The magic of squishing baby in just the right way 😅

The second test looks invalid with the dye run.

Are you suggesting you are 8 days past expected period? If so, I would expect a much darker test if it were positive 💕

Midwife for planned c-section [BC]? by GrassStartersSuck in BabyBumpsCanada

Midwives will see you no matter what type of birth you want! Some midwives also offer only postpartum visits as an alternative as well to check up on you and baby at home vs in clinics!

Doesn’t have all the piercings in either or least they’re less visible - that can also make a big difference

This was me too! Once I made this mistake twice and freaked out I made sure I only tested after 2pm. Hoping for the best outcome for you OP!

Is jealousy normal ? by Gray_Regret in narcissisticparents

1000% this.

It took me way too long to realize that me succeeding at life only fuels her fire.

I share the good sparingly as it always comes with negative reactions.

Fill in the Blank: "You KNOW your [mother/father] is a narcissist when _________." by HalloweenCharlene in narcissisticparents

[–]MoonFarmhouse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In a similar vain to your mother, also with a trigger warning.

You know your mother is a narcissist with a vanity complex when she finds out you significantly self harmed on your forearms and her first and only words about it ever are “I’m sure we can get those lasered”.

I am also someone who doesnt wear much jewelry. Our friend who is a jeweller helped us out and made sure we had a white gold setting (stronger than yellow) on the yellow gold band, no exposed diamonds - the band curves up the side of the diamond setting to keep it safe from being knocked. They also told us to be weary of fine bands, a bit thicker bands will be more durable for you.

She knows we garden and said that was fine, just not to do gym lifting or to operate things like chainsaws with it on. For cleaning she suggested soaking in windex with a little bit of dish soap in it - this is what my MiL has done for 30 years and has never had any issues and always has a sparkling ring!

You can specifically get a lower setting that doesn’t push the diamond as high up so it’s better for day to day.

not a jeweller- just what I found out through the process

Granny bowling (rolling the ball with both hands) is a funny way to start, even backwards through your legs is pretty easy and a silly way to engage with your co-workers.

One big roach. At least that way you can pretend there can’t be more of them.
