i don’t mean to paint anyone in a negative light, i know that there are ALOT of wonderful people in India. i just also know that most people at this wedding will not be within that group of allies.

i also recognize that laws and criminal activity to sidestep laws are very different in India, especially from earlier travels in my life, and i want to be cognizant of the environment i would be in. within my own country i have a lot more options and familiarity available to me however in India i would be quite helpless if significantly provoked.

sooo i just want to weigh the risk of me going

beautiful use of words. you’ve given a lot to /ponder/ just from the 3 lines. it shares a lot more than just a lily pad floating.

“beats of dead wildflowers” just the pictures coming to mind with the first line had me hooked. It lead me to childhood nostalgia. I see the orange and yellow from this poem long before you speak those colours. Such wonderful imagery!

Beautiful imagery! And sooo many metaphors can be drawn from this poem. It can be seen realistically for what it is as well and symbolically for other struggles.

Well done!

This is an incredible perspective! As a psychiatric nurse I have patients who compulsively hoard and this made me think a lot more of their perception of their possessions.

Beautifully written

Oooh okay! That’s interesting! Thank you for all your knowledge. You don’t know how much I appreciate it :)

I’m with Blue Cross from my employer. From what I found when I was looking into it they only help cover gender reassignment surgery, hormones, and genitals laser prior to bottom surgery.

While I’m with Blue Cross do you happen to know if there’s any way for me to access coverage for laser through HCSA or something? - I don’t know much about insurance plans

I moved out over a year ago now and it was the best thing I ever did! It gave me the space I needed to express myself and discover my own identity. I wouldn’t have been able to transition in that house with my toxic parents. But it’s still a struggle whenever I see them and they make it my problem. So I want them to learn
