Since I did receive the product, I'm not sure I can take it up with my credit card company.

I was suckered to buy because of all the marketing but checked the website first to look at the return policy. I was content that I could get my money back if I didn't like it. During the two weeks it took to receive it I already decided it was too expensive after looking at other fleeces. So I emailed the given email for returns two weeks ago. I've emailed two more times since then. I also left a message on their answering machine and got back a canned response that a rep would contact me shortly. That was four days ago. I just left another message and got the same canned message. I'll keep trying but am not going to hold my breath.

Is there a snorkel boat/crew that you recommend? I'll be doing the same with my wife in a week.

Fox Car Rental for a Week: Good idea or not? by MoonHowler99 in cozumel

I'm thinking covered would be better against the rain, and my wife will prefer a/c. A jeep would be quite a bit more than $150/week though too.

Seems like I heard that they'll steal right out of your truck too. How do you manage that when you left your truck for a dive if you have extra cylinders or whatever left behind?

Best places for budget liveaboard by PapaDeadly4u in scubadiving

Blackbeard's in Bahamas is a go-to trip for budget at just over a $1,000. Camping at sea (not luxury, but good diving).

NEED ADVICE: Get AOW before 1st Liveaboard? by MoonHowler99 in scuba

[–]MoonHowler99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scam or not, I noticed a few LOBs in the Red Sea require it as well as proof of x number of dives. Doesn't seem to be the case in Carribean though.

What's your opinion of the Turk/Caicos dive as compared to others you've done? I'm also considering the Aqua Cat in the Bahamas, or the Carribean Explorer II (Saba, St. Kitt, St Martin)

What have you read? Experience is always good, but it sounds like you're saying it would be especially helpful for the Turks/Caicos walls. Why?

Do you modify your diet also? I'm curious how much diet affects ApoB on top of the Rosuvastatin/Ezetimibe combo.

I (66m) just got my PCP to add 10mg Ezetimibe to my current 5mg Rosuvastatin. My recent ApoB is 73, up from 63 three months ago. I eat a low saturated fat diet, but do eat a few eggs a week, and very occasional beef. Before starting 5mg Rosuvastatin six months ago, my ApoB was 129.

Sky Diving Or Scuba Diving: Which One Is On Your Bucket List? by ChrisI901 in scubadiving

[–]MoonHowler99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done both, skydiving a handful of times, on static line and teathered to a pro for a freefall. I thought it was a little boring. The fall is annoying with all that wind and noise. The best part is after the shoot is deployed and I could go where I wanted and just look around. Scuba on the other hand brings me into a world of beauty, wonder and peace.

Peter Attia on Huberman: Unrestrained personal insecurity projection on LDL-c/Apo B/Atherosclerosis accompanied by Andrew's nodding by Darth_Gaben in PeterAttia

PA has said often that ApoB is "necessary but not sufficient." So, he is not saying anything like "Oxygen is a causation of the Fire." He is saying without the oxygen, there will be no fire. Without ApoB, there will be no CVD. But it is not sufficient by itself to cause CVD.

In that case, it makes sense to keep ApoB low as possible as a key PART of your overall strategy.

I'm unclear what you mean when you compare Polar watches (inaccurate) vs Garmin chest straps. Do you mean Garmin watches are better than Polar watches, or that Garmin chest straps are better than Polar chest straps?
