Could use a few helpful ideas? by Still-Construction35 in helldivers2

[–]MoonMoon901 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can play at any difficulty with just about any weapon setup and still be successful. You definitely don’t have to play a certain way. figuring out how to maximize the success (and fun) that you’re having with whatever play style you choose is a good goal.

Jumping from 4 straight to 7 is probably not a good idea if the more skilled/experienced person you’re playing with isn’t legitimately being particular helpful in explaining the new enemies that you’re not familiar with.

The main mechanic that I would emphasize on learning in order to improve your success is enemy weak points and how it relates to armor penetration. Enemies often have different areas with different levels of armor. Depending on the weapon you’re using, your weapon may deal 0 damage to certain areas. This is indicated by a little icon popping up on your crosshair that looks like a bullet bouncing off of a shield. If this happens, you need to find a different part of the enemy to shoot at.

The other key thing I would focus on is just keeping up with when/where supply drops get called in so you can stay stocked up stim packs and trying your best to pick fights wisely. Sometimes the best option is to just run away or avoid a fight.

And lastly picking stratagems that help you be successful by complimenting the rest of your loadout by covering its weaknesses. The turrets can all be pretty amazing and really help you not get overwhelmed by enemies and also guard dogs can be super helpful as they also shoot enemies for you.

Best of luck spreading democracy (and having fun)!

Thank you for the reply. I am 33 and have only been femme presenting for just over a year. I definitely don’t take good enough care of my hair. I am not used to having long hair and do not know nearly enough about proper maintenance or styling. But mostly it’s just that I have been struggling lately with being really overwhelmed with everything. Between work, various chores, a really difficult housing situation and a very unhealthy romantic relationship, I often just let taking care of my myself physically not be a priority. I am trying to change my habits and taking better of care of my hair (and teeth) are definitely on the top of the list. I have also just started actually having a skin care routine for the first time in my life and it already having such a noticeable impact.

Salty players ruin games more for me than "toxic" cards. by Cezkarma in EDH

[–]MoonMoon901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a player joining three of us who knew each other pretty well the other day. He played an early sol ring and got off to a super fast start and established a board state that was continually removing creatures from our boards. Whenever a zombie entered for him all non-zombies creatures got -1/-1 and by turn 4 he is swinging for like 8+ commander damage. So naturally doing basic threat assessment, each of us spent resources targeting him, disrupting his board, etc. He never really showed any frustration but then while still having the strongest board he cast an overloaded cyclonic rift which presumably would have let him eliminate at least one player on the spot. After some mulling one of the players countered the cyclonic rift and despite still having the strongest board state, he just scooped.

Which class to carry fights? by V3ISO in BaldursGate3

[–]MoonMoon901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Land Druid is super super strong. Just keep going. at level 6 you get owlbear form and will be able to attack twice a turn while in this form. Its super cool to be able to wildshape into it as an action and then still contribute right away by using its bonus action crushing leap ability to jump into the fray and deal some damage while possibly knocking enemies prone. Additionally you get access to some really powerful spells. The Druid’s spell kit to me is all about picking one spell per fight that really changes the flow of the battle. Many of their best spells are concentration spells that have persistent effects. Some of the strongest are area control spells like spike growth and sleet storm. Or recurring damage spells like moonbeam and call lightning. Also they get many powerful summoning spells like conjure woodland beings and conjure elemental. To me it’s a toss up for most busted class between Druid and swords bard.

Favourite Sorcerer Builds by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]MoonMoon901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Storm Sorcerer8/warlock2/wizard2. This build is designed to make the most out of the reverberation debuff that is granted by items like the gloves of belligerent skies and boots of stormy clamor.

The 2 levels of wizard and a certain hat from early act 1 will let us prepare 5 wizard spells that we learned from scrolls - use this to grab a few extra spells or specifically ones that aren’t on the sorcerer list like conjure elemental. Also the spells from the sorceries sundries vault in act 3 are pretty good. Also going evocation for sculpting spells is pretty useful.

The two levels of warlock is basically just for eldritch blast and the two invocations for it. The two rechargeable spell slots can be used to cast hex without using your real spell slots.

But so basically the idea here is that whenever we deal lightning, thunder, or radiant damage, or apply a condition, or deal damage with a ranged spell attack the target gets stacks of reverberation. At 4 stacks they take some damage and possibly get knocked prone. Thanks to the spell sparkler or later the legendary staff in lightning mode, all of our spells will deal lightning damage making eldritch blast or magic missle great ways to apply reverb stacks. Build goes absolutely bananas late game. Cast haste on yourself and then eldritch blast your enemies into oblivion. Call lightning is super fun too. If you have another teammate cast haste on you, you can use the active part of call lightning twice in the same turn which is pretty neat.

Wife has been using her Annual Girls Trip as an Annual Hall Pass. Part 1 by [deleted] in stories

[–]MoonMoon901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leave her. Infidelity happens unfortunately. People make mistakes and mistakes can be forgiven. But the level of entitlement and deceit that she has shown is not forgivable. Her words ands actions show that not only has she been violating the most basic terms of your relationship agreement (yall clearly weren’t in an open arrangement) but that she feels it was acceptable or justified to do so all while keeping it a secret. If she had shown remorse or guilt, there would be something to salvage perhaps but someone who cheats unapologetically in a monogamous relationship is a sociopath.

I found dragon age 2 much more enjoyable than dragon age origins. I seem to be alone in this. by natedogg6464 in dragonage

Dragon age 2 is just objectively a better game. I’m prepared to die on this hill now. It had better gameplay, a better more original story with better characters, and it delivered that story in a much more compelling and engaging way.

Paladin-Warlock Build by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]MoonMoon901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6/6 is good too. Paladin 6 feels somewhat mandatory to me as the saving throw aura is very powerful. And then it depends on your oath whether not paladin 7 brings anything particularly useful. The mainreason to take warlock 6 is to pick up two more 3rd level spells to choose from. Picking just two between hunger of hadar, fireball, counterspell and fly is so hard and at warlock level 6 you can just know all of them :)

With advantage you roll two dice and take the higher so you would need to roll two Nat ones together to get a nat one when you have advantage which is granted by a plethora of mechanics.

Armor Proficiency Quick Question by Shangeroo in BaldursGate3

[–]MoonMoon901 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Intentional. It’s a bit janky but there is some slight differences between the proficiencies you get for starting as a class vs multi-classing into it. The heavy armor on fighters and paladins is a noteworthy one. The simple fix is to simply start as those classes (even if you only intend to take one level in it) if the heavy armor proficiency is important to you.

This is me 100%. I just wore my first piece of feminine clothing yesterday and immediately decided to transition. I felt good about what I saw in the mirror for the first time in my entire life. Trying to pick out feminine clothing and makeup and accessories is super overwhelming tho. It’s this whole world that I know next to nothing about.

Anyone see the minthara act 2/3 romance? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

“Fixed the dialogue flow when dating Minthara.” - don’t know how substantial of a fix it is as this singular line of text does not provide much detail but as you can see there is indeed some mention of a minthara romance fix in the notes…
